Cyberspace World War
The Useless Nations says the next world war might be in cyberspace. They could be right on this one. If one country could control or shutdown another country's cyber-infrastructure, the hacked country couldn't fight conventionally. Game over without a shot fired. Think about it...no power...financial markets down...telecommunications down...air and train travel down...no fuel..., and the list goes on and on.
Also, what happens if a Root Server is compromised?

Bobo's Olympian Gamble Collapses
Apparently, the Thug in Chief, the first Thugness, and another super rich biased Chicago idiot could not bribe the IOC. They got their arrogant asses spanked.
Good! They are, and have always been, losers
I hope they had a nice vacation...at our expense by the way. At our expense, remember that.
The First Thugness and Oprah Winfrey took a little trip, at our expense. I hope they bought some "running" shoes.
I understand, that it costs about $70,000 per hour to operate Air Force One. That is some folding money. 70 grand per hour...
The first thugness said "I'm asking you to choose Chicago. I'm asking you to choose America," the First Thugness told committee members.
Bobo said, "If you do, if we walk this path together, then I promise you this: The city of Chicago and the United States of America will make the world proud."
Bobo got his ass kicked. Plain and simple.
How proud are you?

Netanyahu's Address to The Useless Nations
I have always had a great deal of respect and admiration for Benjamin Netanyahu. I still do. I believe him to be correct. I will give him the shirt off my back.
You've got to read this.
The fact of the matter is: Israel has no choice...they will have to do what they have to do. I support 'em 100%.
This is going to get worse before it gets better, and if you don't realize that...you're sniffing glue.
If you believe Obama is your savior, you're smoking crack.
Obama and his Mob do not have your best interests at heart.
Believe that...it is the truth.
Obama is some bad Juju.
I swear to the Maker!!!!

The World Is On Fire
Ease on over here and read the post and all the comments.
We have so many current domestic issues (fronts), we really need to think about which ones can be reversed after Obama is history. People need to get involved...keep the pressure on, but lurking on the outside looking in, are some other issues which we need to pay close attention to. If we are not "secure" Internationally, our National policies won't matter.
IRAN:
I believe, allowing Iran to obtain nuclear weapons is one of the most dangerous and urgent issues facing the world. Islamofascist Iran will use them, and once they do, everything will change...for the worse. The fact is: Iran has been "buying time" with regards to the development of their nuclear program. The United Nations is a joke, and Ahmadinejad knows this. Economic sanctions and political pressure will not work. Iran lies, period. They support, train, sponsor and fund terrorists who are committed to the destruction of the West...Hezbollah and Hamas for example.
A nuclear-armed Iran will destabilize an already dangerous region and pose a direct threat to our national security. If Iran is allowed to obtain a nuclear weapon, it will start a nuclear arms race in the Middle East, which is the most volatile region on the planet. We do not need that. Ahmadinejad and his religious fanatic Mullahs are crazy. They have denied the Holocaust...they believe Israel should be wiped off the map...they stole the Iranian national election...they put down dissent with bullets and torture.
Sad, but most people don't know, or don't care, what is really happening in their front or back yards.
Ahmadinejad has got to go.
CHINA:
China is patient. Know that. They're buying our debt...our Treasury. Do you know what will happen when they stop buying? Think about it. What will happen when they turn off the cash?
We need to get in the game while we still can, or we're fucked.
I'm just sayin'

The Same Old Song and Dance
From Preparedness to Appeasement and Back
...and who but a dunce would believe that continual military preparedness is far cheaper -- and more humane -- than the perpetual "peace dividend" and lowering of our defenses?
Are we about to repeat this tired cycle?

Monday Morning Rant
I was just thinking. If there are 2 billion Muslims on planet Earth, and only 1% (20 million) aspire to murderous suicide / homicide acts of terror, we've got a long row to hoe. But it also means they need to come up with 1 billion, 440 million virgins.
Now, that's a bunch of hoes.
Seriously, I'm all about killing these terrorists, but I think we need a plan B, but I don't know what that would be (no pun intended). Plan A ain't working. Afghanistan is a mess, Iraq is a mess...Indonesia is a mess...Iran is a huge mess...Israel will have no choice, they will have to take on Iran to survive. I do support Israel, but when they do it, and they will do it, I have no idea what will happen. Clear the board, new game.
The U.S. is in dire straits...our economy is tanking...our elected leaders are crooked and clueless and self serving...the current "administration" has pretty much screwed several generations to come. You can not print more money to buy yourself out of a problem...World economics does not support that model...it is not even a short time fix, as you can see and feel. The U.S. is being socialized one small step at a time.
China basically owns the U.S. Treasury. What happens when they stop buying our debt?
China will take Taiwan, sooner than later...like I give a shit.
The Korean situation is about as stable as a drunk on a bicycle.
Big problems in South and Central America as well.
What a mess. The U.S. is being attacked from the outside, and gutted from the inside.
Also, don't take Russia, or Mexico, or India, or Pakistan, and others (too many to mention) out of the equation.
I've always said, if we're not secure internationally, domestic policies don't matter. Think about it.
I never thought I would say this, but the U.S. does not have the resources to police planet Earth...heck, we can't even control our internal mess.
Well, this is my Monday morning rant.

Afghanistan
Afghanistan has always been a problem to the rest of the conquering world. Always will be. We can not "win" this game. Our country won't let us. I know it and you know it, so lets stopping beating around the bush.
Islam chose to make it our problem. I agree, we did the right thing when we went after Bin Dickhead...but we failed. Our country will never let us do what is needed to win. That will never change as long as we have the same politicians in office. We can't get him, and if we did...it wouldn't matter. They'd have another in place as fast as possible. The Taliban might be defeated, but we will never defeat the "people of Afghanistan", or Islam. Afghanistan will always be Afghanistan. Islam will always be Islam. They will fight to the end.
I don't think we can defeat Islam...why would we want to? This poses more interesting questions.
The whole Mideast...what happens? Does an Islamic country side with another Islamic country...of course they do.
We need to rethink this mess...they will never convert to our values...they will never succumb to the West. They will gladly die before we do. No amount of bullets, bombs, and rockets will change that.
So, what do we do?
We are up against a formidable opponent. These people don't know any other way...they've been surviving, with conflict, since the early 600s, and they're not going to stop because the U.S. wants them to.
Ask the Russians...they are proof that occupation does not work. They flunked Takeover 101. Got the shit kicked out of 'em.
So, many Americans believe we can just go over there and "kick their asses". Not gonna happen. Islam knows no borders. We need to back up and take care of business...so to say.
We live in interesting times...

Reparation
This is off topic here, but anyway: I refuse to call a black American an African American, unless they call me a Euorpean American. American is American...plain and simple.
Reparation: No way...I have never enslaved anyone. I do not owe them anything. Period.
I have, on many occasions, reminded black Americans the greater injustice was when my ancestors sailed west and basically stole two continents from the indigenous natives.
I personally don't care if someone is black, white, yellow, red, or purple polka-dotted. An American is an American.
I've never seen this country so divided.
I will admit I'm prejudice...against ignorance.

Line Up The Ducks
I understand North Korea conducted a powerful nuclear underground test. Not good, but no big deal. Rattling the Sabres, I say. Any nutcase with a nuclear bomb is a problem, but NK won't use it. They have nothing to gain by doing so. What are they going to do? Nuke the U.S...no...Nuke China...no...Nuke Russia...no...Nuke Japan...no gain. If they chose to do so, they would be squashed like a bug. The problem would be if they sold one of 'em to the IslamoFascists. They need the cash, no doubt. Buy some more brandy for Jong Boy...aka, suk my dik. They might sell 'em, but they ain't gonna shoot 'em.
The real live real world situation is what happens between Israel and Iran. That is where you need to focus. Benjamin Netanyahu, for whom I have a great deal of admiration and respect, will not take any of Bobobama's shit. He just won't...good for him / them. Israel cannot afford to. I hear that over 50 % of Israelis' support an immediate strike on Iran's nuclear facilities. They really have no choice...backed by the U.S. or not. They will do whatever is necessary to survive, and I'm downtown with 'em, and I'm not a Jew.
I hope all of the people who voted for "hope and change" are satisfied now...because shit is about to really hit the fan.
Fact: If the United States of America is not secure internationally, there is no way we can be secure nationally.
I'm just sayin'.
Bobo has spent all of our money...money we don't have. We can't print more...well, I guess we can continue to devalue our economy. Stupid. He is driving the Socialization of America. Stupid
Socialism does not work. A Free Market Economy does.
So again, I hope all of you dumb asses who voted for hope and change are satisfied now, because it's getting ready to get a lot worse.
That's my rant!

All I Want...
...is a fresh apple pie cooling on the window sill.
A Nuclear Taliban......is a real threat...very real. If Radical Islam (RI) commandeers a nuclear weapon(s), or if Iran is allowed to produce their own...we're in BIG trouble. No doubt they could smuggle one or more into the U.S. We can't stop drugs coming in...we can't (could but won't) stop illegal immigration...apparently we don't want to. Bobobama and his mob do not have a clue. We're going to most probably leave Israel hanging on their own when it comes to Iran. Israel will be forced to do it alone...and they will do it. They have no choice. When that happens, and it will,...shit is really going to hit the fan.
What about the unaccounted for Russian nukes? Can the U.S. secure them?...not if we don't know where they are. Can we snatch and grab Pakistan's nukes?...not with Bobobama and his mob driving.
If the U.S. is not secure on an international level...domestic policies don't matter. If and when there is a terrorist nuclear detonation, anywhere in the world...our lives will change...more so than change caused by the Bobobama engineered financial collapse and socialization of the U.S. economy.
North Korea is not really a problem. What are they going to do?...nuke their front yard...same thing as nuking China...I don't think so. Nuke Japan...nothing to gain...I don't think so. Sell nukes to Islam...that is a very real possibility...they need the cash, and they hate the U.S. North Korea could (conventionally) invade South Korea...but they're not going to nuke 'em, and Bobobama will do nothing to stop it. China can take Taiwan anytime they please, and Bobobama will do nothing to stop it...they're still buying our Treasury.
More hotspots to numerous to mention. Be prepared.
I'm not really a doom and gloom person, but we've got a lot of bad bad juju going on. The world hates America, and there are more ways to bring us down than military action. Don't be surprised...thanks to Bobobama, we're ripe for the picking.
I don't know about you, but I don't trust our new administration to make decisions for me. I never thought I would say that.
Fuck it...I'm gonna go buy a pair of $540.00 Tennis Shoes.

Spring
The first day of Spring, or Autumn...depending on which hemisphere you live in. I live in the top one, so I'm about ready to plant my garden. Tilled this yesterday. Probably do another one about the same size. I'm going to grow a bunch of vegetables this year. Actually, one the size of the tilled patch will produce all I can eat, put up and give away. I think I'm gonna do an extra "put up" one about the same size. Just because I can.
A couple of years ago before I enlarged it a tad.

Damn...Damn Damn Damn!
I was talking to a friend of mine recently, and he reminded me that Hitler didn't seize power...it was offered to him. That is important to understand. Blind excitement of the people I think. Hell, what do I know?
Anyway, I am in no way comparing Hitler to Obama, but, socialism is socialism every time and all the time. Socialist Germany was not just about the persecution of the Jews (as most people believe). It was (among other things) about a last ditch effort to save (not gain) power. The Germans masqueraded the situation to take advantage of world wide (perceived) political weakness. They damn near pulled it off. Everything begins somewhere, and I think we (in this day and age) are in for some troubled times.
People have a tendency to put their heart and soul (however misguided) behind charismatic people...Obama is extremely charismatic. Ignorant masses follow him blindly.
Our current state of affairs scares the shit out of me.
I'm afraid this is going to get a lot worse before it gets better.

Did you know that more than 40 per cent of all globally traded oil passes through the 35-mile-wide Strait of Hormuz, putting tankers entering or leaving the Gulf at risk from Iran. This is something to think about.

Carefully Nurtured Illusions
This is 100% Bullshit.
...The film, a non-competition entry, argues that the fear of terrorism has come to pervade politics in the United States and Britain even though much of that angst is based on carefully nurtured illusions.
It says Bush and U.S. neo-conservatives, as well as British Prime Minister Tony Blair, are exaggerating the terror threat in a manner similar to the way earlier generations of leaders inflated the danger of communism and the Soviet Union...
..."During the Cold War conservatives exaggerated the threat of the Soviet Union," the narrator says. "In reality it was collapsing from within. Now they're doing the same with Islamic extremists because it fits the American vision of an epic battle."...
The American vision of an epic battle? Doing the same with Islamic extremists?
Are these people crazy?
Maybe we should discuss the power of a real nightmare.
This British documentary, arguing U.S. neo-conservatives have exaggerated the terror threat, won a British film and television industry award this year.
Unbelievable!

Yard Boy
My neighbor has all the yard toys. Mowers, trimmers, grinders, graters, edgers, diggers, blowers, suckers, choppers, tillers, thisers, and thaters, and some more.
I laugh my ass off every time his wife makes him “make her yard pretty”. This guy blows the house, once a week. No kidding.
If anyone would like to sit with me in my backyard, and laugh your ass off, you’re welcome to do so. The beer is on me.

Mullahs, Bombs, and Lies
For the mullahs, the bomb is so important they are obligated to lie to us and that is what they are doing. They are looking us in the eye and lying their teeth off and they're not going to breathe easy until they've lied long enough and hard enough that they've bought enough time to finish their bomb.
We would do well to remember understand this.

Can You Really Charm A Snake ?
Our worst nightmare is a Nuclear Iran.
The media is downplaying reports that Iran is seeking a delivery system for its nuclear weapons. Nuclear weapons it doesn’t have, yet? The mainstream media doubts the intelligence behind the statement made by Colin Powell, that Iran "has been actively working on delivery systems". I’m sick and tired of the media’s opinion. They should just report the facts; and the facts are that Iran is lying. They always have, and they always will. You cannot deal with IslamoFascist terrorist pigs. The foundation of their culture is built on lies, deceit, and oppression.
Britain, France, Germany and the European Union have struck a deal with Iran that is designed to stop the nuclear enrichment program. This is bullshit. Fact of the matter is…appeasement will not work with these savages. To them, appeasement equals more time to complete their projects. These scumbags have no honor.
The goal of radical Islam is to kill all the Jews, and kill everyone else who won’t convert. They want to rule the planet. Sorry folks, but it’s true. Where is the support from moderate Islam? Why won’t the “majority” of the “followers” of the religion of peace help? They must realize they’d be better off if they helped us remove the fanatics who oppress them. Or, do they secretly want us to fail?
You don’t get a second chance with a nuclear bomb. If there is any doubt at all, and I mean, any doubt at all, we should identify the targets, and conduct a preemptive strike. There is no other option.
Another question. Do you think Israel can handle the destruction of Iran’s nuclear facilities alone, and can they win a full-blown war in the Middle East without the help of the United States? It might come down to that.

It's Seven Minutes To Midnight
That is, on the Doomsday Clock. Midnight is the END.
Here's the Current Time.
The Board of Directors of the Bulletin of the Atomic Scientists has been moving the hands forward or backward, taking into account both negative and positive developments in the world, since 1947.
This might not be an accurate representation of a threat level, but I wonder where the hands go if Iran is allowed to go nuclear. At any rate, I'll bet the ranch, Iran's reactor never goes "warm".
Israel will not allow it. The U.S., under Bush, will not allow it. We should all thank our lucky stars Kerry is done.
Bottom Line: There will be some ordinance detonated in Iran, and then the shit is really going to hit the fan.
People are worried about North Korea...I am to, but I'm telling you, Iran is in the hot seat...for good reason.
During the Cold War, when the concept of Mutually Assured Destruction was born, the Soviet Union understood that it was a no win situation, a deterrent. This understanding is what kept everyone in check. I mean, they weren’t crazy...but the Iranian IslamoFascists are. Actually, it's not just the Iranians; it's all the radical Islamic extremists living in many countries. Their hate knows no borders.
All I’m saying is that Iran cannot be allowed to develop a nuclear bomb.

The Threat Is Too Real To Ignore
The IslamoFascists nutcases who rule Iran are going to be a real problem in the not so distant future. Diplomacy has not worked. The threat of UN sanctions has not worked. Nothing has worked. You cannot negotiate with rabid dogs. These dogs take their orders directly from Allah, and has been proven time and time again, the followers of the religion of peace want nothing more than to kill everyone who is not Muslim, beginning with the Jews.
After Russia, Iran has the largest natural gas reserves on the planet. They have huge oil reserves. Do they need nuclear power to generate energy? The answer is no. Why do they want a nuclear program? The answer is to intimidate their Muslim neighbors and kill the Jews. These Mullahs are crazy, and the sooner the West realizes this, and commits to the appropriate action, the better.
We cannot, and must not, allow Iran to go nuclear. Having nuclear weapons as a deterrent, and using them, are separate issues. Today, Iran has the missile range capability to strike Israel. Tomorrow, no doubt, they will be able to hit the continental United States.
These Islamic crazies, unlike the Russians, will use a nuclear weapon at the first opportunity. Israel will be no more. They don’t care that there will be as many Muslim casualties as Jewish, they don’t care that all the Muslim states that border Israel will be affected. Islam is not a religion of peace.
Israel has vowed not to let this happen, but we’re kidding ourselves if we believe the United States will not make the final decision.
The United States will have to do it, not Israel. Be prepared.
My thoughts, assuming Bush is reelected, are that a military strike on the nuclear facilities in Iran will happen. It must happen.
If Kerry wins, the free world is in deep deep shit.
Also, don’t forget about North Korea, Kim Jong Il is a sick puppy.

The Liberal Press & Iraq
I am sick and tired of the liberal news media distorting the facts about the situation in Iraq. Everything I read and hear is negative. There were no WMD. Bullshit. Bush lied to us. Bullshit. We're in it for the oil. Bullshit. The Iraqi people don't want us there. Bullshit. The situation is worse now. Bullshit. Our soldiers are dying for nothing. Bullshit. Another Vietnam. Bullshit.
After the election, when the spin slows spinning, the presumption that Frog and John Boy will save the day.
BULLSHIT, BULLSHIT, BULLSHIT.
It is amazing to me how gullible many Americans are.
This might be the most important Presidential election ever, and if the Democrats win; it will be the fault of the liberal press, and a huge setback. They don't seem to understand that without international security, there can be no successful domestic policies.
This war is unlike any other. We're not fighting a country, but a religion that knows no borders. The rules have changed, and we must adapt, and adapt fast.
We didn't start it, but we must win it at all costs. And I mean, AT ALL COSTS. Whatever it takes. I believe that the future of civilization as we know it, depends on us being successful. This will take a long time, and there will be many Presidential elections before this is over.
I don't know about y'all, but I don't want to live in the 7th century.
You might say I'm crazy, but I'm not. It is the radical extremists who follow the Wahabi sect of Islam. These people are crazy, and will kill everyone not like them, including the liberal press.
At some point, we’re going to have to deal with this.
Anyway, my point is: Rational people must utilize sources other than the liberal press for accurate and honest "reporting".
Iraq At A Glance is a good place to start.
This is just my humble opinion.

A Message To The People Of Iraq
Iraq is now a Sovereign Nation, a nation reborn with American blood. Americans paid the ultimate price for you. We died for your freedom, and we want you to succeed. You must understand this.
Don’t fuck it up.
This is as about as short and sweet as I can say it.

We Do Have A Choice
I watched the entire Berg video, and I feel everyone should do the same. Why? Because this is the harsh reality we live in today. People need to understand what we’re up against. What civilization, as we know it, is facing. Sometimes, rage is good. Right now is one of those times.
It is Crunch Time, but we do have a choice.
The IslamoFascists want to kill us. They will kill us all, if we give them the opportunity. We can either fight them on their own turf, or we can fight them in American streets. If we don't stop them overseas, life as we know it will cease to exist. But, one thing is for certain; we must fight this war, one place or another.
It’s our choice to make.

How Can We Win ?
A decision must be made.
The only way to win a war is to destroy the enemy.
What do you do when the enemy hides amongst women and children?
How do you fight an enemy when the enemy knows you won’t do what is necessary to win?
I’m not advocating the killing of innocents, but I’d like to hear your thoughts.

Change is Coming
The Democrats just don’t get it. They are going around saying that Bush “betrayed America”, and “misled” and “lied” to Americans. Do they really believe that? I don’t think so. The world has changed, and they know it. They have no platform, so they’re grasping at straws. All this business about the economy will not matter if we do not win this war that we didn’t start. They know that, and if they don’t they’re double damn stupid. They are followers, not leaders. They are cowards, not paladins. They, like water, choose the path of least resistance.
This Presidential election could quite possibly be the most important election ever.
I have never donated any of my time to a political candidate, but this year will be different. If a Democrat is elected, we’re all in big trouble. We must stay the course.
No one is perfect, including President Bush, but at least he understands the scope of the threat that the world faces. It is not just America, and it is not just Christians and Jews; the Islamic Fundamentalists will not stop until they have forced their religion on all of mankind. We’re just on the top of the list. If they defeat us, you can bet Buddhism, Hinduism, Taoism, etc., will be next.
If the Democrats want positive change, jump ship and vote for Bush. Otherwise, they’ll see change…change for the worse.
No doubt, more change is coming.

I was watching FOX news and heard something interesting.
This is a reminder for all the Democrats in the audience who continue to lie to themselves, and everyone else who will listen. For all of you who make it up as you go. For all of you who believe "misspoke" is not a "lie". For all of you hypocrites:
In Iraq, after major operations were ended, there have been 328 casualties. God bless them!
In Chicago, there have been 599 murders.
In New York City, there have been 596 murders.
This is just two cities.

Red Sea Plane Crash
Egyptian and French officials are saying the plane that crashed into the Red Sea today was "not related to any terrorist act."
Remember, the French took the same stand when an explosion gutted the French-flagged supertanker Limburg in the Gulf of Aden. Even after al Qaida claimed responsibility, they did nothing.
I hope this was an accident, but I say it's too early to know for sure. Go read this.

Spit, Slug and Beat
Time Magazine is reporting that when Saddam was dragged from his rat hole, he spit on a U.S. Soldier, who promptly slugged him.
I hope it's true.
And speaking of slugging, Democratic Dopeful Wesley Clark said (live on C-SPAN), in no uncertain terms, how he would respond if they or anyone else criticized his patriotism or military record.
"I'll beat the shit out of them," Clark told a questioner as he walked through the crowd after a town hall meeting Saturday. "I hope that's not on television," he added.
Well, it was.

Ten Lessons
Wall Street Journal, Wednesday, December 17, 2003
Ten Lessons
By DENNIS PRAGER
Ten lessons from Saddam Hussein’s capture:
1. America is the greatest force for good on the planet. America, with the support of Britain and some other countries, and against the rest of “world opinion,” liberated Iraq from evil. If it were up to the U.N. or the EU, or the editorial boards of most major American newspapers, Saddam would still be happily making palaces for himself and torture dungeons for his people.
2. The positive effect on humanity of good vanquishing evil cannot be overstated. When evil people get away with what they have done, it has a dispiriting effect. Even those of us who believe that a just God dispenses justice after this life ache to see justice done here and now. In this regard, it is not only good that Saddam was captured; it is good that he lived in holes, and aware that his sadistic sons had been killed. It is nice to know that he has been suffering.
3. No Muslim or Arab country lifted a finger to help the Iraqi people. This is because the Muslim and Arab worlds do not divide the world between good and evil, but between Muslim and non-Muslim and Arab and non-Arab. Since Saddam was a fellow Muslim and Arab, the fact that he tortured and murdered so many was as irrelevant to the Muslim and Arab worlds as the Islamic regime’s genocide in Sudan and the subjugation of women in Taliban Afghanistan.
4. Not everyone is happy about Saddam’s capture. Palestinians, for example, are weeping. Saddam was their hero. Iraqis were forced to march with his posters, but Palestinians did so voluntarily. Many on the Left are also not particularly happy. Saddam’s capture is a victory for American force and for George W. Bush, and the Left hates both more than it hates Saddam.
5. The Left seeks power, but is incapable of leading because leadership and wanting to be loved are mutually exclusive. Leftists, including liberal politicians, want to be loved and want America to be loved. That was President Clinton’s great desire, and that is why, with all his abundant talents, he could never lead. Much of the Left’s criticism of Mr. Bush revolves around this issue: “Look at how popular we were right after 9/11 and how unpopular we are now.”
6. Most of the Left does not hate evil; hatred of evil is primarily found on the Right. With exceptions such as Tony Blair and Joseph Lieberman, virtually the entire Left finds evil far less disturbing than global warming, smoking, economic inequality, and drug prices. And with the exceptions of “paleoconservatives” such as Pat Buchanan, most of the Right regards the use of American power to vanquish evil as the greatest good the U.S. can engage in.
7. In the Arab world, power is venerated. For years leading up to 9/11, Islamists were respected for their increasing power and America was losing respect as it suffered blows at the hands of Islamic terror. Now America is seen as the powerful one, and is earning the respect once accorded Saddam and Osama. The importance of this cannot be overstated.
8. There are many who respect goodness above all else. But humanity as a whole has far more respect for power, and takes powerful societies more seriously than good ones. That is why China is respected despite its being a dictatorship and its brutal crushing of Tibet. China is powerful. The stronger America is, the more people will take it and its values seriously. As an unprecedented combination of power and goodness, America could reshape the world.
9. The Marxist belief that forces, not individuals, shape history is wrong. George W. Bush is living proof.
10. The reason the president is shaping history is that he has as strong a set of beliefs – in America’s moral mission and in Judeo-Christian religious values – as those he is fighting. Those who hold bad beliefs can only be defeated by those have equally strong good beliefs.

Time to Go
December 17, 2003
This Travel Warning is being issued to alert Americans to the fact that, due to security concerns, the Department of State has authorized the departure of family members and non-emergency employees of the U.S. Embassy and Consulates on a voluntary basis. Private American citizens should evaluate their own security situations and should consider departing the country. This Travel Warning supersedes that of December 8, 2003.

I'm not sure, but it will be interesting to see if we can get any information on the involvement of other countries in Iraq after the embargo. Like the French, etc.
I bet the French are huddled up right now, like the Democrats, plotting their next move. They'll be moving into "cover their ass" mode.

We blew it up, we'll fix it
The European Union is asking the World Trade Organization to determine if the U.S. policy of excluding the countries that did not back us (excuse me, the coalition) in the war in Iraq from bidding for reconstruction contracts, is legal, and if it violates any WTO rules. The WTO also wants to review these contracts to determine whether national security exemptions should apply.
These folks still don't get it. Let me explain it once again.
"There's a new sheriff in town, and he will not cower to your ridiculous whims and your perceived ethical, social and political superiority like his predecessor."
The EU and WTO need to get on board or shut up.
A treacherous side note: Remember this?
The French are directly, 100%, responsible for killing Americans.

Arabia is History!
As I've said here.
It takes no historian, economist, or fortune-teller to predict the shocks and tremors that will accompany the rapidly approaching downfall of the Saudi royal house.
Via Jerusalem Post
What will begin with panic in the energy markets will likely proceed to other commodity markets, from precious metals to food staples, and from there the road will be short to mayhem across the major stock, currency, bond, and derivatives markets.
Other side effects - like the inability to sell jets, tanks, and vessels to a newly anti-American Riyadh - may initially win less attention, until it emerges that those alone will cost thousands of American jobs.
Fortunately, some people - including George W. Bush - do get the imminence and gravity of this nightmare scenario. Unfortunately, even they, and even now, still think that the root of the Saudi malaise is in that vast country's politics. In fact, that is merely the symptom: The root of the problem - there as elsewhere in the totalitarian Middle East - lies in its sociology.
In Saudi Arabia, the regime has skillfully kept the people at arm's length, throwing in their direction crumbs from the massive wealth with which Allah blessed the country that is the center of His worship, while clutching the lion's share to their own princely bosoms.
Yes, during those increasingly distant years when the local per-capita income was higher than $20,000 (it is now well under half that level, and still declining) the government generously offered free health-care and education. In reality, however, life expectancy (63) and the per-capita number of doctors remained low even by Middle Eastern standards, while infant mortality remained high.
The reason is simple: While Riyadh abolished tuition, it never instituted what the Jews decreed already 2,000 years ago: compulsory education. And when people are not raised to value self-development nor led to actively seek enlightenment, they indeed avoid them. The result is a catastrophic rate of illiteracy (40 percent according to the Encyclopedia Britannica) and a widespread lack of basic tools with which to accomplish social mobility and personal fulfillment.
The royal house will hopefully forgive us for suspecting that this policy was neither coincidence nor miscalculation; rather, it was, and remains, part of a cynical ploy aimed at shackling those with humble origins, much the way serfdom served that purpose for medieval Europe's feudal nobility.
THE DESIRE to freeze the anti-meritocratic social order so that a family of several thousand princes can perpetuate its grip on power was applied even more sinisterly in the labor markets.
There, the royal house engineered a system whereby 70% of the economy's jobs are handed to foreign workers, mainly ones from beyond the nearby Indian Ocean, who in turn are evicted within three years of their arrival.
As would befit the outlook of a regime for whom social paralysis has become an article of faith, the financial and industrial systems have also been structured in ways that were expedient for the select few, and catastrophic for the rest. That is why the local stock market was sealed for foreigners, while the industrial sector was chained to the oil industry.
Sadly, no single mineral or crop can, in the long run, sustain an entire nation. Cuba has learned that about its sugar, Zambia has learned that about its copper, and the US Confederacy learned that about its cotton. Mexico, by contrast, was wise enough to industrialize and diversify its oil-rich economy, ultimately offering more future with less crude to a population more than four times the size of Saudi Arabia's.
The Saudis, of course, knew better, and thought the riches they found under their feet without even shedding a drop of sweat to mine them, would generate them fortunes endlessly, even as they squandered every third petrodollar on arms and much of the remainder on princely hedonism, while repressing their subjects and funding troublemakers the world over.
One is at a loss to seek throughout history a comparably brazen, stupid, and criminal combination of theft, waste, oppression, obscurantism, hypocrisy and belligerency. Morally, economically, and socially - it is predestined to collapse.
Sadly, the kingdom's recent toying with reform - like the much-heralded live broadcasts from the king's rubber-stamp "consultative council" of royally appointed political eunuchs, and the pathetic plan to hand over the labor market to the local population - are too little and way too late.
To be effective, Saudi Arabia's heavily unemployed workforce (an estimated 40%) would have had to be educated decades ago, and allowed economic access to the country's riches.
Similarly, the kingdom should have fashioned itself as a modern immigrant state, by welcoming and quickly naturalizing newcomers from nearby, overpopulated and fellow Sunni Muslim Egypt.
Yet to do that the Saudis would have had to cease being the selfish anti-developers that they so tragically were, and remain.
For their part, however, Westerners seeking Mideastern emancipation must understand that before they can participate in democratic elections, the region's masses must first be educated and employed, albeit nominally. The people who toppled communism were such. That is exactly why the people who currently oppress the Middle East are so loath to spread enlightenment and prosperity: from their viewpoint, those are bad for business.
Like the fall of the Berlin Wall, the fall of the Saudi kingdom will reflect a widespread sense of disgust with a morally bankrupt regime. Yet, unlike the fall of the Wall, which offered the West moral vindication and strategic breakthrough, the fall of the house of Saud will generate geopolitical chaos and moral perplexity.
Hopefully, the next time it recruits allies, Washington will evince interest not only in what their leaders do for America, but also in what they do for their subjects.

Nuclear Iran?
The Bush administration, citing the latest U.N. report on Iran's nuclear program, said yesterday it would prod other nations to take "appropriate action" against Iran's ability to make nuclear weapons.
Wait just one damn minute. Does anyone believe that Israel will allow Iran to go nuclear?
Not a chance! Israel will take "appropriate action" in the form of a 1,600 mile roundtrip, 100 ft. over the sand, death from above mission.
They've done it before, and they will do it again.
Any bets?
