In regard to North Korea, Kerry feels that it is best to pretend that Kim Jong-il has not just violated an international treaty with the United States and developed nuclear weapons. Kerry may want to blame this development on the Bush Administration, but it takes far more than the year Bush was in office to develop a nuclear weapons program. No, in order to develop the WMD they now hold, North Korea would have had to systematically violate the treaty almost from the day it was signed by the Clinton Administration in 1994. The rigorous system of oversight and inspections stipulated by the treaty were easily side stepped by the North Koreans and now two of our closest allies, South Korea and Japan, have a psychopathic despot pointing nuclear weapons at their major cities. John Kerry's solution to this major crisis is to give into the demands of the North Koreans, pretend the last 10 years did not happen, and hold bilateral talks with North Korea, effectively ostracizing the nations most directly effected their nuclear threat.

What do you suppose the character of these negotiations would be? It is pretty simple, North Korea will want its oil, food, medicine, and humanitarian aid back that was cut off by Bush with the violation of the old treaty with a new caveat where the United States would accept and forgive their development of atomic weapons. What would we get? Nothing but promises from a regime that has proven itself unable to abide by an international treaty. John Kerry may claim that the guarantee of North Korea dismantling its WMD is worth the price of abandoning our values and risking millions of lives, but what does Senator Kerry plan to do if North Korea violates this treaty just like they ignored the last? Set up another round of negotiations begging them to just tell us how much we have to give them live up to their word?

John Kerry has a similar plan in regard to Iran's nuclear weapons program. Oh, I am sorry, peaceful nuclear power program. First, Iran needs nuclear power about as much as Bill Gates needs food stamps. The entire country is floating on an ocean of oil! Iran's history does not need retelling. Since 1979, Iran has been the single greatest promoter and exporter of terrorism and civil unrest in the world. A nuclear Iran, in any capacity, is an unacceptable risk. Rather than working to stop the threat, Kerry will give up all opposition to Iran having nuclear capabilities and actually supply them with the enriched uranium fuel they need in exchange for international inspections. Kerry's reasoning goes that if the Iranians refuse such a good deal, they must be up to no good. The United States can then go to the United Nations and begin the process to impose stiff economic sanctions.

Kerry's plan is flawed in two respects. First, Kerry assumes that Iran will refuse the deal if they actually want to develop nuclear weapons. But what if Iran decides to agree to the deal, receives the fuel, and then embarks on a concerted program to either deceive or stall the inspectors in order to accelerate their WMD development? North Korea is far less capable a nation than Iran and they seemed to have no problem avoiding international oversight, so what is stopping the Iranians? Their good word and history of peaceful temperance?

Second, Kerry assumes that our allies and the United Nations would enact touch economic sanctions on the Iranians. This might sound reasonable until you realize that the Iranian nuclear power plants are being built by the Russians with help from the Germans and other companies from EU nations. There is no way the Russians and our European "allies" will take anything other than symbolic action against Iran when they have billions of Euros at stake. More than likely, they will repeat their actions with the Iraqi Oil for Food Program and the failed Iraqi sanctions, doing a lot of sanctimonious moralizing while profiting from their duplicity on the side.

If John Kerry is elected President, in four years we will have a nuclear Iran and North Korea attempting to spread WMD to other nations around the world and terrorist groups. North Korea will sell anything to anyone so long as their money is green and American. Iran will give anything to a terrorist group so long as it can kill lots of Jews. Rather than addressing this threat, Kerry has decided to bury his head in the sand and pretend that he is not dealing with the Axis of Evil, but misunderstood problem states who only need a little understanding to become good global citizens. This November, Americans will be voting on faith that their candidate is the most competent for office. But if we vote for John Kerry, by the time the next election rolls around, we may be needing our faith to see us through the nuclear nightmare a Kerry Administration could create.

Next, he questions Bush’s honor and attempts to relate it to the Geneva Convention, the United Nations, international treaties, world opinion, our military leaders, and our fallen soldiers.

President Bush understood that after 9/11, we could no longer afford to be reactive to terrorism and the threats that WMD posed to us and our interests abroad. After al Qaeda, Saddam Hussein was one of the major menaces we faced. Since he believed this, the President was smart to see that our war planning was underway. (The illogical position back in early 2002 would have been to trust Saddam after years of his deceiving the 'international community.' Kerry might think this is the wrong strategy, but it's not a war based on Pres. Bush's deception.

I have a son earning his green beret at Fort Bragg right now and a daughter-in-law who was on orders for Iraq but is making me a grandpa again. I am not going to stand by and watch them go through the same treatment we did, because some of our well-meaning fellow Americans choose to wear blinders and believe things just because they heard it on the network news or simply not care enough to get involved.

I am not a “baby-killer, torturer, or murderer,” John Kerry. I am a Vietnam veteran and an American who will not soon forget, or ever want to see again, any more jets loaded with fuel and screaming, innocent Americans slamming into our buildings on our very own soil. I have shed enough tears for ten lifetimes. We all have. I will never again let my fellow countrymen get away with making American veterans feel like bastard step-children.

Cheney says Kerry holds US allies in 'contempt'

If John Kerry had been in charge during last year's Iraq war and the 1991 Gulf War, Saddam Hussein would still be in control of Iraq and Kuwait, Vice President Dick Cheney said on Wednesday.

Cheney is absolutely correct.

Kerry has accused President George W. Bush of isolating the United States in the world by failing to build international support for the invasion of Iraq one year ago.

But Cheney said: "Of the many nations that have joined our coalition, allies and friends of the United States, Senator Kerry speaks with open contempt.

Cheney is absolutely correct.

"Great Britain, Australia, Italy, Spain, Poland, and more than 20 other nations have contributed and sacrificed for the freedom of the Iraqi people," Cheney said in a speech at the Ronald Reagan Library in Simi Valley, California.

"Senator Kerry calls these countries, quote, 'window-dressing'. They are in his words, a coalition of the coerced and the bribed.

Cheney went on: "How would Senator Kerry describe Great Britain? Coerced, or bribed? Or Italy, which recently lost 19 citizens killed by terrorists in Najaf.

"Was Italy's contribution just window-dressing?"

Cheney said that the Democratic contender "speaks as if only those who openly opposed America's objectives have a chance of earning his respect."

Cheney is absolutely correct.

The vice president also highlighted Kerry's voting record in the Senate on Iraq and other military issues.

Cheney told how Kerry voted against the 1991 Gulf War, but supported strong international action against Saddam in 1997, called for regime change in Iraq in 1998 and then voted in favour of military action against Iraq in a Congress resolution in October 2002.

Cheney is absolutely correct.

Kerry has since said that the president deceived Congress into passing the vote. But Cheney said: "Had the decision belonged to Senator Kerry, Saddam Hussein would still be in power today in Iraq.

"In fact, Saddam Hussein would almost certainly still be in control of Kuwait."

Cheney is absolutely correct.

The vice president said: "The American people will have a clear choice in the election of 2004."

Referring to the September 11, 2001 attacks and the ensuing war on terror, Cheney said that the Republican president "has built a national security record of his own."

"He saw America through tragedy. He has kept the nation's enemies in desperate flight. And under his leadership, our country has once again led the armies of liberation, freeing 50 million souls (in Afghanistan and Iraq) from tyranny and making our nation and the world more secure."

In a speech yesterday to the Council on Foreign Relations, Sen. Ted Kennedy, D-Mass., delivered a scathing rebuke of President Bush, accusing him of deliberately exaggerating the threat posed by Saddam Hussein's regime in Iraq.

"Why wasn't C.I.A. Director Tenet correcting the president and the vice president and the Secretary of Defense a year ago, when it could have made a difference, when it could have prevented a needless war, when it could have saved so many lives?" he asked.

The toys are about one to three inches – about half the size of a pencil – but Bemiss Elementary School in Spokane, Wash., says it stands by its zero-tolerance policy on weapons, which does not specify the type or size, the Spokane Spokesman-Review reported.

When I was that age, I carried a pocket knife (given to me by my Grandfather) everywhere I went. Hell, we used to show 'em off during "show and tell". In this day and age, I'd be doing 20 years.

Wilson-Spence's son, John Spence, ran into trouble Friday when he put three plastic toy guns in his pocket as he was leaving for school.

His mother said he packed the toys in preparation for an overnight birthday party, and when he got to school one of the guns was sticking out.

"Apparently when he got to school, one of the guns was sticking out," Wilson-Spence said.

That would be carrying a concealed weapon. Lock him up.

The principal, Spear, said another child reported the guns to school officials.

Why that little tattletale should be shot.

The officials say during lunch, Spence and two other unidentified boys, who also had miniature guns, began to play with them at the lunch table.

Spear said the three boys were making threatening actions while playing with the toys, which made other students feel unsafe.

Wilson-Spence admitted one of the boys pointed the tiny plastic gun at other students but insists her son did not.

The school district's Student Rights and Responsibilities policy guide says a threat is considered "any statement, written or spoken, or action which creates a reasonable fear of bodily harm."

Obviously, the Student Rights and Responsibilities policy guide needs to be rewritten.

"I think that we need to be clear about what constitutes a threat, and what is plain and simply a toy," Wilson-Spence told the Spokesman-Review. "We're talking about Barbie and Ken here."

Spear was away Friday and said the boys would be suspended until she met with their parents when she returned this week.

The punishment will depend on the circumstances, she said.

"Even these boys said they knew they weren't supposed to bring these to school," noted Spear, who added the situation would have amounted to nothing if they had given the toys to a teacher.

The Spokane paper noted a similar incident in Washington state 1997 when the Seattle School District suspended a 10-year-old boy for bringing an inch-long G.I. Joe gun to school.

EAST ORANGE, NJ-December 17, 2003 — The FBI has arrested a city political figure in New Jersey on charges she sold crack cocaine for a street gang.

A cooperating federal witness bought 169 vials of crack from Sophia Merritt two weeks after she was elected to the Democratic committee in June 2002, according to a court document filed by the FBI. She was 18 at the time.

Several weeks later, Merritt was seen in a car with more than a pound of cocaine, the filing said.

"She was a full-time narcotics dealer," Assistant U.S. Attorney Marc Agnifilo told The Star-Ledger of Newark.

Merritt sold drugs for the Double ii Bloods, authorities said.

She and her running mate, DeWayne Ellison, are among over 100 unsalaried Essex County or local party committee members. Two represent each of the 55 districts in East Orange.

They were on a slate with Rep. Donald Payne of Newark and Essex County Executive Joseph DiVincenzo.

DiVincenzo's campaign committee paid for Merritt's election literature. He told the newspaper, "I do not even know this woman. No comment." Payne also said he had never met Merritt.

GG - Lieberman's an idiot. Saddam had been contained for a decade and al Qaeda didn't have a strong foothold in Iraq until Bush launched this war.

I'm glad Saddam has been captured.

However, this does not in any way mitigate the heinousness of the lies that Bush and his henchmen used to get us to go to war. Nor does it suddenly "sanctify" an illegal and immoral war.

We should make this VERY CLEAR.

Also, Dean should call for Saddam's trial before a truly international war crimes tribunal, perhaps in some place like the Hague.

This way, perhaps Saddam's embarrasing revelations about the Bush mafia clowns with whom he did business during the 1980s will come out.

Of course we're glad Saddam is captured, and I hope it brings an end to violence. But we can't forget that their reasons for going in were because of WMD's and its clear he didn't have them.

This is still a classic bait and switch--Hussein did not attack us on 9-11, Bin Laden is still at large, the Taliban is regrouping in Afghanistan, and there are terrorists in Iraq when they weren't there before. How does this make us any safer? I can't wait to hear the spin that will be coming out of the White House.

The capture of Saddam Hussein, in and of itself, is insignificant in the bungled war against terrorism. Let us not forget that the first mission of the GOP Senate, when it resumes in January, is to CUT FUNDING to homeland security via the Omnibus bill. We cannot beat around the Bush on the central topic anymore - that this administration is responsible, through inaction or complicitness, for the actions of 9/11. Every action that they have taken since this date proves this to be true - withholding information, coddling the Saudis, and numerous actions/inactions related to that awful day. WE CANNOT LET THEM TAKE THIS AS A VICTORY AGAINST TERRORISM, SINCE THIS IS ONLY A VICTORY FOR BUSH'S FASCIST FOREIGN POLICY.

Having studied the Clintons up-close and personal, I have long since concluded that their politics are not the ideals of Liberals, nor are they the dreams of the naive. Instead, they matured from the radical New Left into the hateful “Hard-Left.”

Nothing I have discovered has discouraged me from concluding that Hillary Clinton and her sometimes brilliant, sometimes useful-dupe husband are less than dedicated Marxists. Her mentor was Saul D. Alinsky, long-time Communist Party, U.S.A. member, and author of the Hard-Left’s playbook, “Rules for Radicals – A Pragmatic Primer for Realistic Radicals.”

If you ever read this book, readily available in any book store and most college campus libraries, you will instantly recognize Bill and Hillary Clinton’s pattern of political conduct. Not only that, but once you read this book, you can predict every political move Hillary Clinton will ever make.

I’d be surprised to learn that the Republican National Committee does not have this book as required reading for every staff member. If they don’t, they would be well-advised to order some copies.

Let others hint and imply, I worked in “the nest,” and I know. I was there, met their friends and saw their backgrounds. I heard them talk and express a visceral hatred toward Ronald Reagan, George H.W. Bush, and anyone who ever worked for them.

They are hard-hearted, Hard-Left and very hateful people. Which brings me to my point.

I saw what the Clintons did to our White House, to employees who worked there, to the military officers unlucky enough to serve there – and I was myself subjected to one of the most hateful smear campaigns ever launched against a Clinton truth-teller. I didn’t hate them then, and I don’t hate them now.

To give in to that emotion would be to admit that I am powerless in the face of their power, which is not true then, now, or ever.

I never hated them, no matter what they did – anymore than I hated the Mafia crook, the kidnapper or the drug dealers I put in prison. I never hated these people, because they only represent human failure, which I do hate. I hate Communism, Socialism and National Socialism (Nazi), because these ideologies represent the worst character flaws in humans. They feed on human failure.

All these collectivist political movements have the same thing in common. In order for them to get and keep power, people must fail – or enough of them must fail to be ready to turn their lives over to people like Hillary on the basis of a lie, on the promise that somehow life will become better.

Except that it never does; it only gets worse. Millions of corpses in thousands of mass graves are silent testimony to the most deadly time on our planet – the last 100 years – when at least 100,000,000 died at the hands of their own governments, all of them Communist or Socialist.

That’s why I truly hate the sickness called Communism – because it is deadly.

That people can be born and raised in this country and grow up to hate America, hate Christians because of their beliefs, hate Capitalism because some do better than others – hate President George Bush because no matter what, he continues to do the right thing and his popularity with the American people continues to grow – that there are actually those who hate George Bush enough to fly to Iraq and make a political speech criticizing the Commander-in-Chief on Thanksgiving Day is truly appalling!

I hate the sickness that takes over a woman’s mind, allowing her to snatch every opportunity to misuse her moment in time, to keep that kind of hate alive.

But I cannot hate the persons of Hillary or Bill Clinton. I feel sorry for them. They have been especially privileged and lucky, and now they are especially rich, having sold books they did not write – and I would posit, never could write.

And yet they remain unhappy. They want to tear down this country. They support an ideology that will eventually destroy Democracy and Capitalism, if not stopped now.

And they will do anything they have to do to get their power back. They will lie, cheat and destroy others to get what they want. But they are no worse than others I met as an FBI agent. Except, in every profession but politics, you can be put in prison for lying, fraud, stealing, and trying to falsely imprison innocents – like Billy Dale, of the White House Travel Office, for example.

But in politics, you can reach high office, and then lie about the Commander-in-Chief during a time of war, in a foreign land, on Thanksgiving Day. You can bad-mouth President Bush to his own troops who are there and prepared to die for this country. You can do all that, and more, and not fear any consequence for your actions.

What Hillary just did is the perfect way to define hate.

'The Plan'
November 5, 2003

THE DEMOCRATS' new method of opposing the war on terrorism while pretending not to oppose the war on terrorism is to keep demanding that Bush produce a "plan." Wesley Clark recently complained that Bush had put American troops in harm's way, "without a plan." Of course, Clark's "plan" would have been to create a quagmire, just like in Bosnia.

Sen. John Kerry, D-Mass., said the difference in how he would have prosecuted the war in Iraq is: "I would have planned." Yes, the invasion of Iraq was the usual unplanned, spur-of-the-minute thing that took 14 months.

Sen. John Edwards, D-N.C., noted for the record that when he voted for war with Iraq, "I said at the time that it was critical for us to have a plan. ... This president has no plan of any kind that I can see." Maybe it's that Beatlemania mop-top that's blocking Edwards' view.

Sen. Joe Lieberman, D-Conn. – the one Democratic presidential candidate too conservative for Barbra Streisand – said that President Bush gave the American people "a price tag, not a plan." He said that "we in Congress must demand a plan." You know, like that incredibly detailed plan the Democrats have in place to spend $400 billion buying prescription drugs for elderly millionaires.

Sen. Edward Kennedy, D-Mass., said: "The administration had a plan to fight the war, but it had no plan to win the peace." Kennedy's idea of "a plan" consists of choosing a designated driver before heading out for the evening.

Interviewing Vice President Dick Cheney on "Meet the Press" about a month ago, Tim Russert echoed the theme, asking: "What is our plan for Iraq? How long will the 140,000 American soldiers be there? How many international troops will join them? And how much is this going to cost?" When will we be there, Daddy? Can I go to the bathroom? Are we there yet?

The same questions were asked of FDR over and over again by the American people after the Japanese attacked Pearl Harbor. "How much will this cost?" "My husband's a sailor – how long will he be gone?" "What's your exit strategy, you warmonger?" Wait – no. My mistake. That didn't happen.

The Democrats' incessant demand for a "plan" tends to suggest there is something called "The Plan," which would magically prevent bad things from ever happening – especially something as totally unexpected as violence in the Middle East. Violence in the Middle East constantly comes as a bolt out of the blue to liberals.

Bush said deposing Saddam Hussein and building a democracy in Iraq was an essential part of the war on terrorism. He did not say that invading Iraq would instantly end all Muslim violence and rainy days that make liberals blue. We're at war with Islamic lunatics. They enjoy blowing people up. What further insights do liberals have to impart about this war?

A war is not as predictable as, say, a George Clooney movie (although generally more entertaining). Historian Stephen Ambrose described Gen. Dwight Eisenhower's genius as a soldier, noting that "he often said that in preparing for battle, plans were essential, but that once the battle was joined, plans were useless." Transforming a blood-soaked police state dotted with mass graves and rape rooms into a self-governing republic might take slightly longer than this week's makeover on "Queer Eye for the Straight Guy."

This is not the first time an evil tyrant was deposed only for bloody elements of his regime to remain. For example, it's been nearly five months since Howell Raines was removed as editor of the New York Times. No quagmire there! What is Bill Keller's "plan" to turn the New York Times around, and how long will it take?

The U.S. military has had considerably more success in turning Iraq around than liberals have had in turning the ghettos around with their 40-year "War on Poverty." So far, fewer troops have been killed by hostile fire since the end of major combat in Iraq than civilians were murdered in Washington, D.C., last year (239 deaths in Iraq compared to 262 murders in D.C.). How many years has it been since we declared the end of major U.S. combat operations against Marion Barry's regime? How long before we just give up and pull out of that hellish quagmire known as Washington, D.C.?

The Democrats' urgent need for an "exit strategy" apparently first arose sometime after 1993, when Bill Clinton sent all those U.S. soldiers to Bosnia – who are still there. The Democrats' conception of a "plan" is like the liberal fantasy that there's a room somewhere full of unlimited amounts of "free" money that we could just give to teachers and hospitals and poor people and AIDS sufferers and the homeless if only the bad, greedy Republicans would give us the key to that wonderful room. Republicans should claim the "plan" is in that room. In a lockbox.

It's interesting that after we've finally gotten liberals to give up on seven decades of trying to plan an economy, now they want to plan a war. Extra-credit question for the class: Comparing a peacetime economy with a war, which do you think is more likely to shoot back at the planners and require subsequent readjustments? No, no, not the usual hands from the eager YAFers in the front row. Are there any liberals in the back rows who want to take a stab at answering this one? Paul Krugman?

Needless to say, the Democrats have no actual plan of their own, unless "surrender" counts as a plan. They just enjoy complaining about every bombing, every attack from Muslim terrorists, every mishap.

Back in the 1870s, Gen. William Tecumseh Sherman told a group of graduating cadets: "There are many of you here who think that war is all glory. Well, war is all hell." We didn't start it, but we're going to win it.
