I can not believe what is happening in this country. The problem is: The people are on the outside looking in...not doing a damn thing. Open the damn door and go inside. Get in the game. Get involved. People don't seem to care.

I'm downtown with Jimbo. No one had a copy of the final bill, and they voted on it?

Maybe all of our Congressmen should have to take a damn test on the bills they vote on, and pass it (the test), before they're allowed to vote.

I'm pissed.

Sad to say, but I believe the average citizen has no clue what is going on. When I talk to people, I'm amazed at their ignorance on matters that directly affect them. They have no clue. They don't care.

We're sailing in troubled waters with no compass and no sextant.

Gibbs's is a joke, but that's not why the press corps is laughing.

Profiling

My woman went to her doctor this morning. They have a new form for all new and EXISTING patients.

One question was "Do you have a gun in your house?"

Another one was "How many people live in your house?"

Yet another was "Do you have a pet"

Many more unrelated to the business at hand.

She told them it was none of their damn business.

What is going on?

Breaking News

I heard that Michael Jackson will not be buried because he contains so much plastic. Instead, they are going to melt him down and turn him into legos so that little children can play with him...like he played with them.

Pervert Jackson

They only thing that freak did for me was record Thriller. I traded the cassette to a Mexican cab driver for a 4 hour round trip from Cancun to Tulum and back, plus a cooler of cold beer and wait time.

Doing A little Jarring

I have about 70 jars "put up" so far. My goal is at least 700. We've also frozen so much I'm gonna have to get a larger freezer.

I also have a new source for "burns blue beads clear"...it could be worse.

Sunday Supper

Dinner last night was Boiled Swiss Army Knife

I've had this knife for about 15 years. Found it in my golf bag next to the bird's nest. Anyway, the pan is a total loss as well.

This is proof positive, I can cook, but it was a little overdone.

My woman was not happy...I'll be doing a little pan shopping today. Time to upgrade. Blade and Pan.

Suicide

I just read (again) The Last of the Mohicans by James Fenimore Cooper...published in 1826.

Great book.

Michael Mann directed the movie, and hit a home run. Book Movies never do the book justice, but this one is better than most.

Great movie. Great soundtrack.

Anyway, the story takes place in New York, but it was filmed in North Carolina...not far from where I reside.

End Game

That didn't take long...yanked it they did...all I wanted was the music...let us try again.

Saturn V

Awesome technology back in the day...still is as far as I'm concerned.

I was fortunate enough to see many Saturn V rockets blast off. Most were topped with an Apollo capsule.

Still makes me weak in the knees. When they lighted those puppies up...you could feel it miles away...and we got as close as we could.

I loves me a good launch...especially at night.

Super Repo Man
"...Repossessing a giant, gleaming multimillion dollar plane is kind of like courting a beautiful woman. Sometimes the chase is better than the catch."
And the chase is never complete.

Common Sense

I read Glen Beck's Common Sense last night. Also contains Common Sense written by Thomas Paine and first published anonymously on January 10, 1776, during the American Revolution.

It's definitely worth reading, whether you agree with him or not. Personally, I don't believe Beck is all doom and gloom, but that's just my opinion. I have always believed we need a third political party (maybe more). He takes no prisoners.

Where Did You Come From?

Found this in The Blade's Crib, who shamelessly ripped it from Brother Dax

My past life diagnosis:

I don't know how you feel about it, but you were female in your last earthly incarnation. You were born somewhere in the territory of modern Central England around the year 400. Your profession was that of a jeweler or watch-maker.

Your brief psychological profile in your past life:

Such people are always involved with all new. You have always loved changes, especially in art, music, cooking.

The lesson that your last past life brought to your present incarnation:

The world is full of ill and lonely people. You should help those, who are less fortunate than you are.

I was am an old woman who made watches before there were watches. How cool is that?

If you really want to know where you came from...go here.

Catching Dead Fish

I've been to the Pike Place Market in Seattle, WA many times. One time, I broke right and caught a big ass Halibut thrown by a fishmonger. It was a long pass. Ever caught a dead fish? Damn near knocked me over, but I did manage to hang on to it.

Anyway, I understand PETA is all up in the air about the "throwing of fish"...you have got to be fucking kidding me.

You ain't lived until you've caught a dead fish.

This is nuts...these people need to be bitch-slapped...with a dead fish.

PETA can kiss my ass.

That is all.

Huldufolk

Iceland is one of the most interesting places I've traveled.

A little know fact:

When Alcoa Inc. prepared to build an aluminum smelting plant in Iceland in 2004, the government forced it to hire an expert to assure that none of the country's legendary "hidden people" lived underneath the property.

This is worth reading. There is WAY more to it than our (U.S.) domestic problems.

I'm just sayin'...this will most probably get way out of hand.

Juju Boy

I do not agree with anyone who supports Bobo, but the fact of the matter is...it is reality.

America made a HUGH mistake in electing Boboamma. It doesn't really matter who is driving, but it does matter how the people interpret what the chosen one is doing.

The majority of Americans voted for "hope and change". They're gonna get it...and they're gonna be surprised with the end result. I'll bet you 5 bucks.

Did you watch the speech he made in Cairo? I was embarrassed and disgusted.

If the American people think for one minute that the new president has their best interests at heart...they're smoking crack.

Bobo and his mob are bad juju.

This is a really tall and old Oak tree in my back yard...lost most of it's branches in ice storms over the years. It won't give up.
