You've Got To Be Kidding

How the Senate Wants to Spend Your Money.

This is beyond ridiculous.

You've heard the horror stories about the wasteful projects in the House version of the Obama-Reid-Pelosi debt bill. You heard about reseeding the mall, and funding 'stimulative' contraception. But did you know that the Senate has a whole raft of new items in their version of the bill?

Here's a taste:

$20 million "for the removal of small- to medium-sized fish passage barriers." (Pg. 45 of Senate Appropriations Committee report: 20,000,000 for the removal of small- to medium-sized fish passage barriers)

Fish passage barriers...Give me a break.

$400 million for STD prevention (Pg. 60 of Senate Appropriations Committee report: "CDC estimates that a proximately 19 million new STD infections occur annually in the United States...The Committee has included $400,000,000 for testing and prevention of these conditions.")

$400 million...Give me a break.

$25 million to rehabilitate off-roading (ATV) trails (Pg. 45 of Senate Appropriations Committee report: "$25,000,000 is for recreation maintenance, especially for rehabilitation of off-road vehicle routes, and $20,000,000 is for trail maintenance and restoration")

$25 million...Give me a break.

$34 million to remodel the Department of Commerce HQ (Pg. 15 of Senate Appropriations Committee report: $34,000,000 for the Department of Commerce renovation and modernization")

$34 million...Give me a break.

$70 million to Support Supercomputing Activities for climate research (Pgs. 14-15 of Senate Appropriations Committee Report: $70,000,000 is directed to specifically support supercomputing activities, especially as they relate to climate research)

$70 million...Give me a break.

$150 million for honey bee insurance (Pg. 102 of Senate Appropriations Committee report: "The Secretary shall use up to $ 50,000,000 per year, and $150,000,000 in the case of 2009, from the Trust Fund to provide emergency relief to eligible producers of livestock, honey bees, and farm-raised fish to aid in the reduction of losses due to disease, adverse weather, or other conditions, such as blizzards and wildfires, as determined by the Secretary")

$150 million...Give me a break.

-- Brian Faughnan

How many jobs are these projects likely to create? We're in deep deep shit.

If anyone can, please explain this to me...please do.

Here's another one by another Obama idiot.

We are not rich like y'all, that is one thing you will have to understand, that one day this year we will be, because we have Barack Obama.

-- Obama supporter whose car was being repossessed.

We're in BIG trouble..BIG BIG Trouble. If anyone believes Obama can save anything, than you can kiss the north end of a duck flying south.

Damn, I'm pissed!

Working the Angles

I swear...I don't know how he does it, but he got another one this afternoon. I guess he's figured it out...he waits until the distance is shorter between him and the squirrel, and the closest tree. He stalks those fuckers. They don't see him coming. Even after some major spinal cord surgery, he is relentless. It is unusual for dogs, any lone dog for that matter, to catch a squirrel. What is more amazing is how he dispatches it once he gets it. It must be in his genes. He snaps the back right from the get-go.

I've seen a million dogs chase squirrels and come up empty-handed, but my dog Stretch is a thinker...he has got it figured out. Never believe a dachshund is a small foo foo dog...they might be the smallest of hounds, but they are tenacious.

I've got to get a film of him in action...you would not believe it.

I need to change my name to Marlin Perkins.

Cooking

This will happen to the best of us.

I'm a pretty good cook, most of the time.

Last night I made a casserole with beef, tomatoes, peppers, onions, cheese, herbs, anything else I could find, and Orecchiette pasta.

My woman said "I'm giving it a 5...because it's fixable"

Damn...at least she is honest.

Bwahahahahah!

Tonight we're having leftovers redux.

A Find

I have a friend who buys antique furniture at garage / estate sales to refurbish. He acquired a "chest of drawers" about ten years ago and left it sitting in his workshop. He was using it to store some tools. The other day, he decided to start work on it. He pulled all the drawers out and discovered a secret compartment about 2X2 inches. He slid the panel off the front and what did he find?

One big ass Diamond that was appraised, by three firms in the know, at between 115k and 150k. It was just a lone diamond wrapped in a small leather pouch.

How cool is that?

One Week of Obama

I'm not impressed at all. Who is manning the gate?

He has a popularity rating of nearly 70%. Give me a break. What are people thinking?

Just a few, and I mean a few. I could go on and on.

He fumbled the oath of office...had to take it twice to cover his ass. Can't blame it on Chief Justice Roberts.

He skipped the Salute to Heroes Inaugural Ball, an event celebrating the country's Medal of Honor winners. Slap in the face to most people.

The market's did a spectacular kamikaze dive right in the middle of the coronation.

About 5,000 people got stuck in the tunnel beneath the mall because no one was manning the gate.

He pissed of off Mariah Carey. Who gives a damn.

He gave his first formal TV interview to Al-Arabiya, which is based in Dubai.

He said, "We are a nation of Christians and Muslims, Jews and Hindus, and nonbelievers."

I am personally not a believer in the big O. I think we're in deep shit.

Cast Lead in a Nutshell
...quoted Gaza civilians as complaining that Hamas gunmen prevented them from leaving while firing from their homes. The gunmen told the civilians "we are all destined for paradise, are you not happy to die together?"...

Interesting story at the American Thinker

Close Guantanamo?

Oh hell yes!!!

I think it should be closed and each one of the detainees placed in the homes of each liberal weinie who has responded in the affirmative. Although he said he will, I don't believe Obama will close Gitmo any faster than he will raise taxes on the rich or any of the other ridiculous "promises" he has made and cannot keep. He is a "pleaser" who will run his administration ala Bill Clinton through polls and popularity contests. After all, lookin' good is better than doing good! Right!!

What possible good can come from closing Guantánamo? Someone please explain this to me.

Although, I believe Obama will be forced more to the middle than he "promised" the Left, he will indeed cause more problems for everyone. We're not talking about play school here. If America wants and voted for change, we're getting ready to see a bunch of it in a bad way. Change is often a good thing, but it can often be a bad thing if not thought out. I have never subscribed to "if it's not broken, don't fix it". I have always looked for ways to improve, but to improve...everyone needs to understand what exactly the end result should be...what is is involved and what effect will the change have on everyone...in the beginning, in the middle, and at the end.

You've got to try to envision the end-game. Just like a game of Chess.

We're in for a hell of a ride.

Full Court Press

In my opinion:

Israel must not let up. They probably should escalate further and do whatever is necessary to break the will of the Palestinian IslamoFascists. Foot to the neck I say.

If the Hamas cowards continue to hide behind women and children; women and children are, unfortunately, a legitimate target. They will die with the cowards.

If they hide in a hospital, it becomes a legitimate target. Level it.

If they hide in schools, they become a legitimate target. Level them.

Wherever they stash arms (Mosque, etc...) is a legitimate target. Eliminate them.

Keep up the pressure and forget about the media and world opinion.

If anyone was shooting at me, I would do whatever is necessary to survive. I will kill anyone who is trying to kill me. I have no problem with collateral damage. I would just stop it...one way or another.

If I was attacked from another direction, I would deal with that in the same manner. If it was me, I would not care, at all, about world opinion.

Many say this is a no win situation. I disagree. Israel can "win", but they must break the will of their opponents. Israel must play hardball...no back-off.

Personally, I don't care what anyone chooses to believe, just so long as they're not shooting and lobbing rockets at me because I believe differently. If someone is trying to kill me, I will do my best to kill them first.

Everyone has the right to exist, and if that existence is challenged, everyone has the right to resist.

The USA should give Israel the "after Christmas discount" on whatever weapons are required to finish the game.

Peace, Love, and whatever.

2012

I find it interesting the ancient Maya predicted, thousands of years ago, the same thing NASA is (maybe) predicting today. The Maya predicted on 12/21/2012 at 11:11 p.m. Universal Time, the earth will experience some sort of solar anomaly.

Historically people have sensed the need to have a fixed point to start their time calculations. In order to do this generally the starting point has been determined either by a historical event (the birth of Jesus) or by a hypothetical event (the date of the world's creation). Of all known cultures the Maya seem to have been the first to discover the need for such a date, using probably an astronomically significant or a hypothetical event they placed at 3114 BC.

I'm not saying "Doom and Gloom", but what I am saying is..."Generally, you can not dispute mathematics". It is what it is.

I just find it interesting...that is all.

Time To Slowdance

This is a mess, has been a mess, and will continue to be a mess. I would eliminate weapons storage facilities whether they are in a Mosque or a Synagogue or a Church, wherever, at all cost. Hamas terrorists are hiding within the civilian population which puts innocent Palestinians, if there are any, at risk. That is their choice. Maybe, just maybe, if the civilian population understood when they allow these IslamoFascist dogs to hide behind their skirts, everyone might get killed.

If it were me, I would ignore the MSM and world opinion and take it to the limit. In my opinion, Israel cannot afford to back off like they did in the last major skirmish with Lebanon; they must put the foot to the neck.

If Abdul El Jojobobo was hiding behind his parents and children, I would do 'em all if I had to. No problem. Israel must adapt to the rules their adversary plays by, or they cannot win, if there is such a thing as winning. What a mess. If someone was indiscriminently lobbing rockets at me, I would take extreme measures to stop 'em...whatever is necessary. I would have no problem with that.

On a side note: Water in the desert...I found some .410 3 in. 4 shot today. Bought all they had.

The Rascal

I couldn't find my dog Stretch. I knew he had to be inside, but I couldn't find him. I looked everywhere. Finally I went into the laundry room and there he was. I have no idea how he got up there. He was jousting with me. Being owned by a Dachshund is quite amusing. One eternal game.

Survival

I support Israel and all Jews 100%. They have the right to exist, just like everyone. I hope they (Israel) continue to punish the dogs of Hamas, and all IslamoFascist terrorists regardless if they are hiding amongst women and children. It is sad, but it is true; people (noncombatants) get killed in war. You gotta pay if you get in the way.

My woman and I are goyim and very much pro-Israel. Israel must do whatever it takes...whatever is necessary, and if that means some collateral damage...so be it. After they're finished with the dogs of Islam, they should go after the media which is biased in their own right.

I am pissed...can you tell?

"I call on the resistance to continue pounding Jewish settlements and cities,"said Sheikh Abdelrahman al-Jamal".

"We will remain on the path of jihad until the end of days."

I sincerely hope this piece of shit Jamalabobo is on a short path.

On a more serious note: My dog Stretch killed the vacuum cleaner today, after I wrapped it in a green flag.
