One Week Later
A week ago today, I said goodbye to a bunch of good friends. So, today, in their honor, I’m firing up a huge pot of Red Beans and Rice.
Salute!

One Thing Missing
NOLA was the first Blogmeet I've been to where there wasn't a weapons buffet. I really missed the public display of...Handguns, Blades, Chemicals, and a Bunch of Drunks.
Does that make since?
Should I do a bumper sticker?
Hey...Hey!

Thank The Irish Republican Army
…because if it wasn’t for them, the gutsy British would have never installed such a sophisticated surveillance system…and would have never caught the Islamofascist rat shit that tried to do ‘em again last week.
I hope they use whatever means necessary to make those scummies talk…and then, of course, kill ‘em with a nail bomb.

NOLA
We just returned from the Blogmeet in New Orleans, and I’ve got to tell you…it was boring. Being stuck in NOLA with Christina, Kelley, Velociman, Dash, Key, Zonker, Denny, Shoe Baby, Yabu, Karen, and Susan… was well…the BEST TIME I’VE HAD IN A LONG TIME.
Raise the bar…they did. They are my friends…and they are awesome! None better.
We probably won’t do it again. No fun. Too much conflict.
Where else can a happily married man have a naked woman (not my wife) passed out in his bed? Where else can he (on advice of counsel) be advised to “take pictures”? Where else can you call your buddy from a bar, and have him deal with it?
Where else can you…?
More later…I’m just getting back in the saddle.

Plane Pain
Yesterday, I boarded a turboprop, with six other people, for a short 17-minute hop to Philadelphia. I was on that damn plane for a total of 165 minutes. Ground Stop in Philly due to some really bad weather. While in Ground Stop, one of the six curled a major steamie, with some major aroma. One of those, “been up all night drinking and eating lots of garlic” steamers. He was definitely embarrassed, and apologized. It was awful, but what can you say? Shit happens.
After we touch down in Philly, we waited for a clear gate for another hour due to some dim-witted regulation that states if there is lightning anywhere within about a hundred mile radius (exaggeration), the ground crews can’t work the planes…coming or going. Damn unions I’m sure.
Inside the terminal, it was pure pandemonium…the place was packed…people were pissed…adults screaming, kids crying, and some pushing and shoving. The police were out in force…with dogs. I’ve done a lot of flying in my time, and I can’t remember anything like this. EVERY flight was either delayed or cancelled. Some people had been there over 24 hours. The bars were running out of beer. People were trying to change flights just to get anywhere near their final destination, so they could rent a car and drive home. All the data ports were in use, so I had my wife on the phone in the Brier Patch, sitting at a computer mapquesting directions for these unfortunate souls. My phone was being passed around like a collection plate on Sunday. Good thing I had a full clip.
Two groups of people, one headed for New York, and the other for North Carolina, are gathered at the gate when the plane, which is way late, taxies in. The staff didn’t know which one it was…anticipation…this was the last flight of the day going south, and I had more than my fingers crossed. No way I needed to be stuck in Philly. When the announcement was made the plane would be going down hill, the New York crowd went ballistic. It was not pretty.
Once airborne, we climbed to 27K for the ride home, and weaved between thunder-boomers that topped out at about 40K. The light show was reminiscent of midnight on 12/31/99. Absolutely beautiful, in a scary sort of way. The flight attendant hit the ceiling once, and the drinks were flying, more screaming, and some panic. Damn near knocked her silly, but she recovered and went into “calm these idiots down” mode.
What a day, and what a ride.
By the way, the airline was U.S. Scare.

Dead Systems
I hate it when that happens.
I just got back to the Brier Patch from some emergency air tripping. That little problem, along with another one, have left me just plain dog-ass tired. More on those later.
I need sleep...bad.
After that, I need to clean up the 8227 emails I've received in the last four days. I suspect all but 1% are comment and ping spam...too tired to care now...
Good Night!

Eight Questions
I Want To Talk About Pain
I’m really trying to determine how to best deal with comment and ping spammers. I like MT, the MySQL database, the interface, etc… and I’m not switching, period. I like my host (Hosting Matters), and I’m not switching.
Hosting Matters is evaluating and testing a security module that intercepts comment / ping requests before the actual request is made to the script on individual blogs. They are also considering incorporating a master blacklist of known spammer domains into the security module. The effect of this would be to block requests that are spammish in nature. The master list would be pulled in by every server on a set, automated schedule, just as the email spam lists are. This will allow them to easily add entries to the master list quickly and have those changes rolled out without having to go to every server.
Although I don’t completely agree with this, it has become, or is becoming, a necessary evil. I’m downtown with it.
But,
That’s not what this post is about. I want to talk about pain, and I’m asking for your input.
I want to discuss Torture.
The scenario is: I capture a spammer(s), alive, and I’m going to share ‘em with you.
How do we kill ‘em? What is the most painful way to die? How long will it take? The longer, the better…you think?
If you were the devil, how would you do it? Behead them immediately? Inflict continuous pain until they expire? Let them live their lives knowing when they die a natural death…they’re going to hell, or worse?
I’ve never asked for a comment or ping, but this time…I want to know.

Someone Must Die
I’m Heading To The Woods
I enjoy blogging...but,
I'm spending WAY TOO MUCH time despaming this blog, and it isn’t fun. Lately, I've been getting 2000 -3000 bullshit comments and pings every 24 hours. Fuck that...and you know what...The Brier Patch is not even anywhere near pissing with a big dog. I'm getting so much bullshit; it is damn near impossible to read my legitimate emails.
So,
If I ever capture one of you comment / ping spamming motherfuckers…I will kill you. I swear on everything I hold dear…your ass is dead. DEAD!
Some of you know where I’ll be.

God Bless England
It won’t be long before the Left says, and the MSM will support, the Terror attacks in London this morning were the fault of the United States. The indiscriminate slaughter of innocent men, women, and children by Islamofascist Radical Extremist pieces of shit will somehow be rationalized as a necessary action by the Muslims oppressed by the Bush administration and the Coalition.
I hope this strengthens British resolve to get deeper into the game. The only thing at stake is Freedom, our values and way of life, and the future of mankind, as we know it. That might seem like a strong statement, but it is true. The world is flat; we live and thrive in a global economy, and any disruption in progress will be devastating to all of us.
Our enemy is not a country; it is primarily the Wahabi sect of Islam. Wahhabism knows no borders, and that is the problem. How do we retaliate? These radical extremists know we can’t cross borders, and they also know how to run, hide, and stay safe. You can bet that Saudi Arabia, among other Islamic Nation States, is into this all the way. They’re dancing in the streets. Scum.
We need new policies. We need to ignore borders. We need to pursue these people wherever we think they are. As long as the terrorists know they have sanctuary in, for example, Saudi Arabia, Syria, Iran, North Africa, Indonesia, etc…we can’t win…and we must win. We’re going to have to kill a bunch of people. There is no other way to survive. This indiscriminate slaughter will not stop until we take the gloves off. Think about what will happen if Iran goes nuclear. Just think about that.
After 9/11 I was emotional; I was in shock, and I cried. Today, I’m pissed.
Sometimes, you must do what you have to do. At this time, we must do what needs to be done, because the alternative is unacceptable. WE MUST WIN! And for all you people who say this war cannot be won; just slit your candy-ass throat, and give Allah and some virgins a big hug from me.
Remember, these Pigs don’t negotiate. Why should we? Everything has changed, and as I’ve said many times before, we must adapt. We must play by their rules. We could do it, if it wasn’t for leftist public opinion. We need to start killing ‘em, wherever they can be found, and while we’re at it, we need to secure the nuclear bombs in North Korea, Pakistan and Russia, by whatever means necessary. We need to just do it. Fuck world opinion, and fuck China. What are they going to do? They will be better off without these “problems”, and they know it. The future of China is dependent on the “global economy”, and Islamofascist terrorists, Kim Jung Il, and the Taiwanese, are the least of their problems. Bottom line: They know this.
Also, I’m sick of the media calling a terrorist an insurgent.

National Education Association
Ann Coulter takes a look at the NEA, among others.
To put the Supreme Court's recent ban on the Ten Commandments display in perspective, here is a small sampling of other speech that has been funded in whole or in part by taxpayers:...

THOU SHALT NOT COMMIT RELIGION
by Ann Coulter
June 29, 2005
— Graphic videos demonstrating how to put a condom on and pep talks by "Planned Parenthood educators." — sex education classes at public schools across the nation
— Korans distributed to aspiring terrorists at Guantanamo. — U.S. military
— "If there was a better, more effective, or in fact any other way of visiting some penalty befitting their participation upon the little Eichmanns inhabiting the sterile sanctuary of the twin towers (than the attack of 9/11), I'd really be interested in hearing about it." — Ward Churchill, professor, University of Colorado
— We need "a million more Mogadishus" (referring to the slaughter of 18 American soldiers during a peacekeeping mission in Somalia in 1993). — Nicholas De Genova, assistant professor, Columbia University
— "The entire federal government — the Congress, the executive, the courts — is united behind a right-wing agenda for which George W. Bush believes he now has a mandate. That agenda includes the power of the state to force pregnant women to surrender control over their own lives. ... If you like the Supreme Court that put George W. Bush in the White House, you will swoon over what's coming. And if you like God in government, get ready for the Rapture ..." — Bill Moyers' commentary on PBS' "Now"
— "Kiss it." — governor of Arkansas to state employee
— "For most Americans ... (war with Japan) was a war of vengeance. For most Japanese, it was a war to defend their unique culture against Western imperialism. ... Some have argued that the United States would never have dropped the bomb on the Germans, because Americans were more reluctant to bomb 'white people' than Asians." — Smithsonian exhibit to commemorate the 50th anniversary of VJ Day, later modified due to protests
— "Anglos consolidated their control of New Mexico, acquiring huge holdings from the original owners through fraud and manipulation." — Smithsonian exhibit
— "Ignored were the less honorable aspects of California history — the profiteering, revolts against Mexican authority and Indian massacres." — Smithsonian exhibit, comment on the painting "The Promised Land — The Grayson Family"
— "This predominance of negative and violent views was a manifestation of Indian hating, a largely manufactured, calculated reversal of the basic facts of white encroachment and deceit." — Smithsonian exhibit
— "In the Americas, sugar meant slavery." — Smithsonian exhibit
— Close-up photos of women's vaginas plastered all over a portrait of the Virgin Mary (which The New York Times will still not mention when it describes the "art"). — Brooklyn Museum of Art
— A photo of a woman breastfeeding an infant, titled "Jesus Sucks." — NEA-funded performance
— A photo of a newborn infant with its mouth open titled to suggest the infant was available for oral sex. — NEA-funded performance
— "F—- a Fetus" poster showing an unborn baby with the caption: "For all you folks who consider a fetus more valuable than a woman, have a fetus cook for you, have a fetus affair, go to a fetus' house to ease your sexual frustration." — NEA-funded performance
— Performance of giant bloody tampons, satanic bunnies, three-foot feces and vibrators. — NEA-funded performance
— A novel depicting the sexual molestation of a group of 10 children in a pedophile's garage, including acts of bestiality, with the children commenting on how much they enjoyed the pedophilia. — NEA-funded publisher
— Christ submerged in a jar of urine. — NEA-funded exhibit
— A female performer inserting a speculum into her vagina and inviting audience members on stage to view her cervix with a flashlight. — NEA-funded performance
— A performance of large, sexually explicit props covered with Bibles performing a wide variety of sex acts and concluding with a mass Bible-burning. — NEA-funded performance (canceled by the venue in response to citizen protests)
— A show titled "DEGENERATE WITH A CAPITAL D" featuring a display of the remains of the artist's own aborted baby. — NEA-funded exhibit
— A play titled "Sincerity Forever," depicting Christ using obscenities and endorsing any and all types of sexual activities as consistent with Biblical teaching. — NEA-funded exhibit
— Essay describing then-New York Cardinal John O'Connor as a "fat cannibal from that house of walking swastikas up on Fifth Avenue." Also photographs of men performing oral sex, anal sex, oral-anal sex and masturbation. — NEA-funded exhibit
That's the America you live in! A country founded on a compact with God, forged from the idea that all men are endowed by their Creator with certain inalienable rights is now a country where taxpayers can be forced to subsidize "artistic" exhibits of aborted fetuses. But don't start thinking about putting up a Ten Commandments display. That's offensive!
I don't want to hear any jabberwocky from the Court TV amateurs about "the establishment of religion." (1) A Ten Commandments monument does not establish a religion. (2) The First Amendment prohibits Congress from making any law "respecting" an establishment of religion — meaning Congress cannot make a law establishing a religion, nor can it make a law prohibiting the states from establishing a religion. We've been through this a million times.
Now the Supreme Court is itching to ban the Pledge of Allegiance because of its offensive reference to one nation "under God." (Perhaps that "God" stuff could be replaced with a vulgar sexual reference.) But with the court looking like a geriatric ward these days, they don't want to alarm Americans right before a battle over the next Supreme Court nominee. Be alarmed. This is what it's about.

I've just cleaned 2798 comment and ping spam(s) I received in the last 12 hours. One asshole sent me almost all of 'em. If our paths ever cross...you are dead.
If I nuked some legitimate comments, sorry. If I ever catch one of you…I will kill you, but not before I’ve shared you with my buddies on my Blogroll. They’re pretty creative, and I can assure you…your death will be….shall I say…painful.
