Homeschooling

I would say this is ahead of the curve.

When “Computerized Information Technology” was in its infancy, I often said:

”Whoever has access to the most accurate and comprehensive information the fastest, will be able to make better decisions, and if you're able to make better decisions...you will win.”…or something like that.

The same holds true for education.

Sad but True: Our public schools SUCK.

Memorial Day

american-flag.gif

First, let me say “THANKS” to everyone who is, or has been, in our military. I also thank all of you who support their sacrifices and our country.

I will never forget!

I also thank all of you for my freedom, and the ability to have a lazy-ass, lackadaisical, day like today.

Today is an absolutely gorgeous day here in North Carolina, and I haven’t done shit; except for tending my garden, patrolling with Stretch, talking with my beautiful wife, and having a cold beverage sooner than usual.

I’m a lucky man, and I have much to be thankful for…which is, most importantly…YOU PEOPLE.

Thank You!!!

I posted a comment on some assholes blog informing him he was stealing my bandwidth by direct linking images from this blog. Following is a comment posted in response to a smart-ass comment posted by the blog admin.

Bwahahahah

Hmmm,

You may wanne be carefull here fatislav.

Judging from the site Sam claims to represent, he is part of a terroristic group aiming for world domination and the annihalation of all people that disagree with him.

An extreem form of suprematistic megalomania, born out of a feeling of racial superiority and a disregard for other peoples rights. I have a feeling he will come back and start threatening some more. Ridiculing him might very well get him to hunt you down. I think this person is not someone you want to mess with, he will not think twice about killing you and posting a picture of him raping youre 12 year old sister. Or maybe he will send his son "son of Sam" to do it for him.
You never know with these IMO "mentally unstable" people.

So I think you should be carefull here Fatislav, you never know what these people are thinking.

Farmer McGregor

I was awakened this morning at 5:50 am. with calls of "Farmer McGregor, Farmer McGregor, there are two rabbits in the garden."

My ass was pulled out of bed and informed..."Shoot 'em."

With only one eye open, I broke the barrel and slid a hollow point in, eased the kitchen door open a fraction, drew a bead on a big-ass rabbit not 20 yards away...and missed. Damn, he and his buddy broke for cover.

I could still see his buddy about 40 yards out, so I reloaded and crept outside beside the big tree...braced against it...and sent his ass to rabbit heaven.

He stayed as he lay.

I went back to bed.

United Nations Ambassador

The truth is, this woman will do anything for the spotlight. I'm not sure a drop kick would help, but I'd be willing to test it out.

..."We should delay this until we see that information; it's a matter of right and wrong," Sen. Barbara Boxer, D-Calif., maintained at the start of a second day of Senate debate over John R. Bolton's fitness and qualifications. "It is right for us to get that information, it is wrong for the administration to withhold it."..."John Bolton did not tell the truth to the Foreign Relations Committee," on several points, Boxer alleged. "If nothing else I've said matters ... you ought to care about telling the truth to a committee of the United States Senate," Boxer told other senators. "We have it chapter and verse. We have it cold here."...

Sen. Joseph Biden, D-Del., continues:

"I would seriously hope that the president - and I really don't have much hope - but I wish the president had taken another look at this and found us someone else."

"Someone else" works both ways. They would do well to remember that.

You know what I hate…almost as much as liars?

People who tell me what they believe I want to hear…which, I guess, are one in the same.

You Rascal, You

Cab Calloway ended up in New Orleans.

I'll be glad when you dead, you rascal, you!
I'll be glad when you dead, you rascal, you!
When you dead in your grave,
No more women will you crave.
I'll be glad when you dead, you rascal, you!

I trust you in my home, you rascal, you.
I trust you in my home, you rascal, you.
I trust you in my home,
You wouldn't leave my wife alone.
I'll be glad when you dead, you rascal, you!

I fed you since last fall, you rascal, you.
I fed you since last fall, you rascal, you.
I fed you since last fall,
Then you got your ashes hauled.
I'll be glad when you dead, you rascal, you!

You asked my wife to wash your clothes, you rascal, you.
You asked my wife to wash your clothes, you rascal, you.
You asked my wife to wash your clothes
And something else I suppose.
I'll be glad when you dead, you rascal, you!

You know you done me wrong, you rascal, you.
You know you done me wrong, you rascal, you.
You know you done me wrong,
You done stole my wife and gone.
I'll be glad when you dead, you rascal, you!

You asked my wife for a meal, you rascal, you!
You asked my wife for a meal, you rascal, you!
You asked my wife for a meal,
And something else you tried to steal.
I'll be glad when you dead, you rascal, you!

Please don't me find you, rascal, you.
Please don't let me find you, rascal, you!
Please don't let me find you
'Cause you'll leave this world behind you.
I'll be glad when you dead, you rascal, you!

Ain't no use to run, you rascal, you.
Ain't no use to run, you rascal, you.
Ain't no use to run,
I done bought a Gatling gun,
And you still having your fun, you rascal, you!

I'm gonna kill you just for fun, you rascal, you!
I'm gonna kill you just for fun, you rascal, you!
I'm gonna kill you just for fun;
The buzzards gonna have you when I'm done.
I'll be glad when you dead, you rascal, you!

You done messed with my wife, you rascal, you!
You done messed with my wife, you rascal, you!
You done messed with my wife,
And I'm gonna take your life.
I'll be glad when you dead, you rascal, you!

Good News

I hear this piece of shit is wounded.

We are striving urgently and racing against time to create companies of mujahidin that will repair to secure places and strive to reconnoiter the country, hunting the enemy –- Americans, police, and soldiers -- on the roads and lanes. We are continuing to train and multiply them. As for the Shi`a, we will hurt them, God willing, through martyrdom operations and car bombs.

I hope he dies a slow and excruciatingly painful death.

The Difference Between 90 & 70

Yesterday, I did 500 miles in 7 hours with 1 gas, and 3 (long) puppy stops.

So, we averaged about 81 MPH.

Not bad, eh?

Boy Dogs Are Relentless

Babes Babes And More Babes

First, let me say, I’m a happily married man.

But,,,

I just returned from my niece’s high school graduation gathering…and I must say it has been a long time since I was in the company of about thirty 18-year-old cuties…makes you “weak in the knees”, so to speak.

All I can say to you boys trying to do an end around the folks raising the girls is “Get a puppy.”

All I can say to you folks raising the girls is “Good luck, and get a good shotgun.”

Boy Dogs are relentless.

My Heart Was A Beating!

I never post about my livelihood on this blog. Never have, and never will.

But…

This post is about life, and being scared.

I work with an older gentleman, who’s not in the best of health. We’ve worked together for many many years, in several different cities, and have become good friends. His family, what’s left of ‘em, lives a thousand miles away.

When we arrived in this town, he gave me a copy of the keys to his place, and other things…just in case. He always keeps me in the loop about his going ons, appointments, etc. Since I work virtual, we talk every morning, and several times a day, as needed. And sometimes just for the hell of it.

This morning, I didn’t hear from him, couldn’t raise him on his home, cell, or office phones, or email. This has never happened, so I drove to the office in hope of finding him too busy to answer the damn phone.

No such luck, nobody had seen or heard from him. So now, I’m really worried, and I head back to my house to get his key ring out of my safe, and head toward his house.

The whole time I’m thinking, “Please God, let his car NOT BE there.”

It wasn’t…Thank the Maker.

An hour later he called, and I let him have it. All said and done, we laughed it off, but I still worry about him.

A Wad Of US Dollars...

...to secure his silence.

The doctor refused to take the cash.

Maybe, just maybe, we'll get lucky, and this scumbag will die.

I know...I know...most people believe that if we get the commanders, there's a line of others waiting to take their place. This is true, but the others waiting don't have the ability to carry on with the same intensity. They don't have the connections, intelligence, or support to maintain the level of chaos that is crucial to their success. The money will begin to dry up, among other things.

We just have to keep on keeping on. Kill as many as we can, and never forget.

Anyone who believes this War can have a negotiated ending...is foolish.

More good news.

Screen Door Note

It is all about communicating.

I have a tendency to leave the screen door in the kitchen wide open.

This afternoon, I noticed a note attached to the screen that read, “Shut the dam door.”

I informed my wife that she misspelled “damn”, and headed out on patrol with Stretch.

When we returned, there was a new note, which read:

"Shut the F___king Door!!!"

Oh Well!

Carefully Nurtured Illusions

This is 100% Bullshit.

...The film, a non-competition entry, argues that the fear of terrorism has come to pervade politics in the United States and Britain even though much of that angst is based on carefully nurtured illusions.

It says Bush and U.S. neo-conservatives, as well as British Prime Minister Tony Blair, are exaggerating the terror threat in a manner similar to the way earlier generations of leaders inflated the danger of communism and the Soviet Union...

..."During the Cold War conservatives exaggerated the threat of the Soviet Union," the narrator says. "In reality it was collapsing from within. Now they're doing the same with Islamic extremists because it fits the American vision of an epic battle."...

The American vision of an epic battle? Doing the same with Islamic extremists?

Are these people crazy?

Maybe we should discuss the power of a real nightmare.

This British documentary, arguing U.S. neo-conservatives have exaggerated the terror threat, won a British film and television industry award this year.

Unbelievable!

Small World

The last time we were in Nawlins, we were walking down Bourbon Street at dusk, and all of a sudden I was body slammed, and found myself in a bear hug, crashing through the doors to some sleazy ass bar. I thought I had a major problem. As it turned out, I didn’t.

The guy who captured me was a friend I went to high school with, and hadn’t seen in a long long time. We had a magnificent time, but I’m sorry to say…he is now in prison.

I have some great friends.

Gun Rights Important As Free Speech

Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice, recalling how her father took up arms to defend fellow blacks from racist whites in the segregated South, said Wednesday the constitutional right of Americans to own guns is as important as their rights to free speech and religion.

"We have to be very careful when we start abridging rights that the Founding Fathers thought very important...I also don't think we get to pick and choose from the Constitution...the Second Amendment is as important as the First Amendment."

I have a great deal of admiration and respect for Condoleezza Rice.

American Cars Suck...

...but our Cruise Missiles don't.

I could care less what kind of vehicle someone drives, but at the same time, I dont appreciate it when someone belittles me for what I drive. It is a free country, and it is my choice. If I choose to drive a car that isnt made in America, so be it, thats my choice.

Point being: American vehicles SUCK. If you drive a German car, there is a reason why. If you drive a Japanese car, there is a reason why. Etc

Im just saying.

Ive been through so many American made pieces of shit; it isnt even funny.

I want American vehicles to be the onebut they arent.

National Cell Phone Do Not Call List

In a few weeks, cell phone numbers are being released to telemarketing companies and you will start to receive sales calls. The national DO NOT CALL list blocks your number for 5 years. There are two methods to block your cell phone; (1) call 888-382-1222 from your cell phone or (2) via THIS LINK.

FYI. If you go to this website, you can block multiple cell phone numbers.

This is important information for anyone with a cell phone. If you have seen this already, forgive me.

This Is So Wrong

I know, personally, a close relative of the murder victim, who is very much connected to this mess. They should've capped Charles McCoy Jr. from the get-go. He is guilty as hell. He did it. McCoy admitted he was the shooter, yet his attorneys pursued the paranoid schizophrenia angle.

To hell with the legal definition of insanity, and to hell with the defense attorneys… the family of Gail Knisley saw no justice.

How do you think they feel?

My 1100 fps .177 Benjamin is bad to the bone, and (almost) silent. Yesterday, I popped another two, maybe three, rats with bushy tails. At a decent range, I must add. I don't know where they're coming from; but make no mistake, I'm under attack, and I intend to win.

Too Much Information...

...or Three Mile Island

I just returned from some major debauchery here (photos below).

acc_ho_ext_001.jpg

acc_ho_ext_007.jpg

acc_ho_int_001.jpg

Business, real business…as in closing the damn bars every night. My ass is worn out, plain and simple.

I usually don’t sleep well in hotels, but the Hotel Hershey is different. They actually have comfortable beds with all the down. I’m down with the down. I slept like a drunken baby, but like I said, my ass is trashed. I get up with these people about once a year, and trying to squeeze 362 days into 3, is a "crash and burn" situation if I've ever seen one. Did I tell you, my ass is dead?

Anyway, to get there, you fly into Harrisburg, Pennsylvania, and the Three Mile Island Nuclear Plant is, literally, at the end of the runway. There are no federal regulations limiting how close you can fly to it. If there were, they'd have to shutdown the airport. No can do.

normal_TMI_14.jpg

Three Mile Island forced us to evaluate how groups of people react and make decisions under stress. Some believe the accident was exacerbated by incorrect decisions made because the operators were overwhelmed with too much information. Some believe it was operator error, without regard for the data. Much of the information from the sensors was irrelevant, misleading, or incorrect.

After the TMI incident, nuclear reactor operator training changed. Before TMI, operator training focused on diagnosing the underlying problem, apparently with bad data. Afterwards, the training focused on reacting to the emergency by going through a standardized checklist to ensure that the core is receiving enough coolant. The key is: You've got to keep the core cool. In my opinion, this is the opposite of thinking out of the box, but in some scenarios; thinking out of the box might not be the best thing. The Monkey Checklist, sometimes, might be a good thing.

It took the operators 16 hours to realize they had a major problem, because they had too much information. Right, wrong, or indifferent; they had too much information.

Too much information is something to think about. Sometimes, it's not a good thing.
