Suicide

I just read (again) The Last of the Mohicans by James Fenimore Cooper...published in 1826.

Great book.

Michael Mann directed the movie, and hit a home run. Book Movies never do the book justice, but this one is better than most.

Great movie. Great soundtrack.

Anyway, the story takes place in New York, but it was filmed in North Carolina...not far from where I reside.

End Game

That didn't take long...yanked it they did...all I wanted was the music...let us try again.

I love this movie... but the version they show on the movie channels is different than the DVD version they sell the to general public (the DVD version sucks, they took out some key scenes and added other crap because of some dispute between the director and FOX - *sigh*). So I recorded the original release version to DVR when they played it on FOX. Now that I've got a Neuros OSD Media Center I can pull it over to my computer and burn it to my own DVD. Geeze these movie people make me want to scream.

As I recall, the soundtrack won an Academy Award - it's wonderful. The story itself is actually a remake of a 1930's movie rather than sticking to the book version. I don't really care - as a movie it really works and was very well done. Love it. However, if you are a Cooper fan, it will drive you nuts because it's like any other movie in that it doesn't follow the original story. This is why I don't watch movies made from books I love. Heh.
