What kind of shortwave radio did you get?

LOL - have fun. Is it world band? My husband is a "ham" he used to build the radios when he was a kid (I wonder if kids do this anymore?). For years we had a world band radio on our bookshelf and we'd spend weekends listening to various countries English broadcasts. It was fun.

As for climbing a tree - well, you may need an extra bit of antenna wire if you can't get it to tune in with the default antenna. If you have problems, drop me an email and I'll ask my husband. (don't want you breaking anything vital just to listen to radio. *grin*)

you just gotta climb the tree once..to mount the antenna and be sure it is done before you fall out of the tree..you'll need it to call for help on the short wave
