mu.nu

I need a mu.nu account...so I can be invited to join a piece of shit that is not stable. Invited? Fuck you. If I were you mu.nu. people...I'd get a real (stable) host...or do it yourself.

Back up your shit, and move it. It's really easy to do.

I'm just sayin'...will someone please extend an Invitation to me...I want my stuff to be fucked-up just like yours...I also want to put 8 billion of you motherfuckers on my blogroll. I want to be part of the clan.

Don't get me wrong, one of my best friends is Australian, but he doesn't do mu.nu...and he is part of my clan...my beer drinking friend, at least, is his own host.

Get in the game.

I will PAY for the service, for one of you mudicks to host your site at the service of my choosing...for one year...you decide. I'm as serious as my doggie Stretch. I kid you not.

Then we'll do a real world comparision.

I've used typepad since the beginning and have had absolutely NO trouble with it, ever! (crossing my fingers now that I've said that!) But I do know of a lot of people that use mu.nu and either they have trouble, lose their sites or you can't leave a comment or trackback!

Yeah...I'm not bitching about the "editor"...I'm bitching about the fucking hosting provider. Sorry for my language. mu.nu sucks a BIG dick. Like I said...why anyone would use that piece of shit is beyond me.

Fuck you MU.NU

Now, having said that...will someone please invite me to join up?

Bwahahahahah!!!!!

I've got server space, and I guess I'm supposed to be entitled to a free Wordpress blog, but I'm a lazy bastard. Just a lazy bastard, though... not a frickin' muddick.

Break left!!!

After my first encounter with Fluffy the fucker-upper of comments over at mu.nu, I knew it wasn't for me.

Posted by: Chickie at April 30, 2007 07:34 PM

My only bitch is it hassn't saved my personal info when I want to leave a comment at a mu.nu blog. That's easily fixed, and it's fucking bullshit.

Like Michele, I use Typepad. Personally I've been using them for over three years now. In the last year, I don't think I've had *any* downtime and a grand total of five $p@m comments/trackbacks. The folks at Typepad deal with that shit, not me. Many people consider MuNu to be worth the cost savings just as I consider Typepad worth the ~$8 I pay each month. Personally, I'm glad that Pixy puts all that work into MuNu. If MuNu wasn't there, I bet the $p@mmers'd probably be fucking up my site, too. Think of MuNu has flypaper, Sam. And switch to decaf.

hey, that works on MY blog, V-dude.

like SWG, lazy ass here too!

Mu-nu won't let me leave comments, and not for the reasons one would expect (e.g., misspellings, vulgarity, being drunk). They won't let me because my email address has both "ru" and "org" in it. That mu-nu dude's a fucking regex guru, I tells ya!

Me? I got a python script pumping everything through Akismet. It scrolls like butter, as the man says.

MU had fucked up and fucked over more good (and even more bad blogs than history will ever know.

I've had nothing but the best of service from Typepad. Got a Beta user discount in the early days, and have never looked back.

The whole MU thing looked to me like a "joiner-cult" back when it came out. And I've never been a "joiner", back when not being in the clique was death in school.

Fuck 'em. Not joining then, not joining now.

Even in the motorcycle world, I'd only "join" the GWRRA and AMA for the magazines and discounts.

Fuck the group rides and circle-jerk events. I had miles to cover, and did so. 39 States. More than 250,000 miles.

Same with the "cool" blogs.

I write what I write, when I write and HOW I write. And if that never got me a PJM invite, all the better.

But, I know who my friends are.

Which is why I'm here.

Jim...I'm downtown with you.

mu is as fucked up as it gets, and I also said I would pick up the tab for anyone who will switch for a year...a year...I've got it covered.

No takers....oh well...could've had a V-8.

I started on typepad years ago. It got so bad on the posting and the comments that sometimes I couldn't make a post because it would just sit and not post at all. People emailed me saying "sorry I tried to comment but typepad never posted it - it just sat there doing nothing". And I was paying for it. Typepad kept apologizing saying they'd fix it... but I finally got fed up.

I never "asked" to go to mu nu, I was asked if I'd like to move over there by one of the mu nu people. I happen to like the guy who runs it. Pretty soon we'll be switching off of Moveable Type - which has been a real problem. Unfortunately, Word Press is a PITA for setting up large numbers of blogs, so only a few people use it.

In any case, I have yet to see a blog host without any issues. Blogspot, typepad, hosting matters, independents... I've seen all kinds of problems everywhere over the years. *grin* If the person is a blogger I like, I put up with the problems to read their stuff. If they aren't... I don't.

As for "joining a group"... I never even considered it to be a group thing - so I don't really get that. Sorry it's got you so pissed off.
