You know what's more annoying than someone full of pride, but has no game to show for it?

I tell ya: More annoying is someone who is brimming with pride AND has the game to back it up.

So, as Americans, we must be pretty fucking annoying. And I don't say that to bring a pissing match of accomplishments. A simple study of economic stats, trends, etc. and it's no contest; let's not go there.

Believe it or not, the "annoying" concession was sincere. That's as much humility as I can muster on the issue. We really, seriously, honest to God, must be pretty fucking annoying.

But what others must understand is that our economy could hit rock bottom, we could lose hundreds of thousands of men in battle, the White House could be taken out, and California could fall off into the fucking ocean... And there would STILL be those of us, the tried and true, waving our flags, loving our country, and spewing forth as much prideful sentiment as ever before... if not more.

As for today's discord, I understand that watching someone swell with pride only exacerbates any existing envy. That is human.

But having pride in your country and respecting the fact that others have pride in their homelands as well... That is also human.

Be the better human.
