I just nuked about eight fucking thousand comment and ping spams. Seriously...eight thousand. If you got caught up in this mess...sorry!
I also probably nuked a bunch of valid emails. Actually, there is no probably to it...I got 'em all. Too many to read.

Oh, damn. Now that I've read about the ping-pong ball and the fish hooks I feel so ... inadequate.
Hell, even my lil' ol' site was gettin' shat upon daily to the tune of damned near 1000/day. I finally put up WP Blacklist, and just had it automatically delete the spamments. Thank Got! I was about ready to turn off comments period. Rob's right. I'd check with his buddy and see if he can't help you out. I know you don't want to switch from MT to WP, but if you did, I'd help you Sam.
