This Is Just A Probe

I've been on several Steamboats, but none like this. They race 'em once a year, and the Natchez wins everytime. Man, this one is so clean you could eat off the floor in the engine room.

We should probably do a meet-up in New Orleans, ya think? We don't have to do the boat, but it is there...just in case.

The food and music is the Catdaddy!

Does anyone have an opinion on this?

You are the mack daddy. Great idea!

Nawlins has gotta be my favorite city. Not that we need a good excuse to go back, but a blogmeet would definitely rank right up there with the top excuses.

I dunno...I proposed New Orleans once, and the Vman slapped me around for a while.

I however, am IN.

I love Nawlins.

Never been there before but I've been looking for an excuse to go. I'm inny like Flynny.

fyi...I think Vman was probably saying that it would be a bad place for a Jawja meet as some folks are limited to partying within the state. It's either a parole-related thing or else a spousal decree. As long as it doesn't replace one of the regular Jawja meets, I don't think it'd be a problem for anyone.

I'm cool with Nola. It's just that a fun place like that, spouses want to come. I'm suffering from bloghater issues, and nipple anxiety.

They've got shrimp and oysters right? I'm IN.

What's always most fun for those of us who have been there? Watching those who haven't arrive for the first time.

It is really a sort of adult amusement park...and I mean that in the best of ways.

THE best food, THE best music, THE most eccentric characters.

It's the kind of place where, although you can really got lost with your friends, you lust for a 'special someone' with whom you can return.

My first trip, as I walked through the middle of the Quarter, I leaned over to my friend and said, "If this place burns, we're all going to hell just for being here."

I could go on endlessly.

I am, tentatively in.

Anyone up for the swamp tour?

Posted by: jmflynny at May 9, 2005 11:39 PM

Swamp tour? That isn't some Louisiana slang for what the Georgians call the Deliverance Canoe Ride And Jamboree, is it?

In all seriousness, I've been wanting to go to New Orleans for ages now. This could be really cool!

Just find the closest shooting range to the riverboat landing, m'kay? Make it a full-service blogmeet, so to speak.

And no Acidman..."full service" does not imply the hiring of hookers. [ / snark ]
