Boogieingest
Statement for Dash Riprock.
I have the right to make up words.
Austin Texas is one of the boogieingest towns I've ever been in, and I've been to a bunch.

.. damn, man... I had to read that new word twice... it looked too much like "booger ingest"... which, of course, is just plain nasty...
While Eric's contemplating ingesting boogers let me say that Austin is a rockin' town. Locally touted as the "Live Music Capital of the World", there is always a lot of boogying going down. From the Continental Club to The Backyard to The Broken Spoke to Antoines and all places in between from 6th Street to Lake Travis, there is always some music going on. It's where Joan Baez played at Threadgill's, where Willie played at Southpark Meadows and Stevie Ray played at Antoines. The Geezinslaws still play at the "Spoke" with Ray Benson and Asleep at the Wheel. If you get tired of that you head southbound I-35 to San Marcos, Gruene Hall in Gruene, River Road Ice House in New Braunfels, Flores Country Store in Helotes, and then down to the Corona Club in Acuna, Mexico, where you'll find everything from Robert Earl Keen to Delbert McClinton to Lyle Lovett and Reckless Kelly. We have a saying around here that's from a Robert Earl Keen song - "The road goes on forever and the party never ends."
Damn Dash, my next "business trip" down that way will no doubt be extended. I can make that happen...no problem.
The feeling you have in Austin is what I miss the most. I can't wait to move back. France (especially the part I live in now) is nice, skiing close by, inexpensive good wine, good food, but it ain't Austin.
If Austin were anywhere other than Texas, it would be perfect!
;-)
If it were anywhere other than Texas, it wouldn't be Austin. With the possible exception of the city council that thinks Austin should be more like Seattle or Boston, Austinites are proud Texans.
