The American Dirtbag

Where I live, we have a huge, relatively new, Hispanic population. These people will work for damn near nothing. All the local companies offer "conversational Spanish" courses to their employees. This is bullshit.

Are they taking American jobs? It depends; yes and no. The jobs they take are the one's even the American dirtball beleives they are too good to do. The American dirtbag believes they are better than the immigrant. Are they? I don't think so. I think their values have been corrupted by the Left. The American dirtbag would rather live off of us, for free, than actually contributing to the economy of their country. They are the problem.

I have no answer, but I do know this is a major problem. Now, I don't want to get into a immigration, illegal alien debate at the moment; I'll save that for later.

But, it does piss me off when someone living in my country cannot communicate with me because they refuse, or are too stupid, to learn the language. I think we ought to throw 'em all the fuck out.

Once they are gone, we could force the American dirtbag to work for a living.

The jobs are there.

IMMIGRANTS, NOT AMERICANS, MUST ADAPT.

I am tired of this nation worrying about whether we are offending some individual or their culture. Since the terrorist attacks on Sept. 11, we have experienced a surge in patriotism by the majority of Americans. However, the dust from the attacks had barely settled when the "politically correct! " crowd began complaining about the possibility that our patriotism was offending others.

I am not against immigration, nor do I hold a grudge against anyone who is king a better life by coming to America. Our population is almost entirely made up of descendants of immigrants. However, there are a few things that those Who have recently come to our country, and apparently some born here, need to understand. This idea of America being a multicultural community has served only to dilute our sovereignty and our national identity. As Americans, we have our own culture, our own society, our own language and our own lifestyle. This culture has been developed over centuries of struggles, trials, and victories by millions of men and women who have sought freedom.

We speak ENGLISH, not Spanish, Portuguese, Arabic, Chinese, Japanese, Russian, or any other language. Therefore, if you wish to become part of our society, learn the language!

"In God We Trust" is our national motto. This is not some Christian, right wing, political slogan.. We adopted this motto because Christian men and women, on Christian principles, founded this nation, and this is clearly documented. It is certainly appropriate to display it on the walls of our schools. If God offends you, then I suggest you consider another part of the world as your new home, because God is part of our culture.

If Stars and Stripes offend you, or you don't like Uncle Sam, then you should seriously consider a move to another part of this planet. We are happy with our culture and have no desire to change, and we really don't care how you did things where you came from. This is OUR COUNTRY, our land, and our lifestyle. Our First Amendment gives every citizen the right to express his opinion and we will allow you every opportunity to do so! But once you are done complaining, whining, and griping about our flag, our pledge, our national motto, or our way of life, I highly encourage you take advantage of one other great American freedom, THE RIGHT TO LEAVE.

I agree. Here in Texas we have a lot of non- English speaking hispanics working in jobs that are, let's say lower tier. That's not to say that these jobs aren't important, but many non-hispanics won't even consider doing them. Welfare is too easy to get. In my business more than 90% of the labor is hispanic. That means we have to employ biligual supervisors to be able to communicate with them. The company asks us to learn to speak Spanish, but doesn't ask the workers to learn English. I wish I could speak better Spanish, but I wish the workers would try to learn to speak English, too. It drives me nuts.

This is why I'm trying so hard to learn French. I'm not planning to emigrate to France, but I am working in France, and I feel that I should speak the language.

The problem with bilingualism is: Where does it stop? If you mandate Spanish, it leaves out the Vietnamese. When you add Vietnamese, then the Croatians are offended and require their language be added. And so on, and so on.

I advocate the Salad Bowl model for America, as opposed to the Melting Pot. Many seperate pieces working in concert, but each with their own personality. But when you add the dressing - social and governmental programs - you only use one "flavor", or else you have something totally unpalatable.

You want to vote? YOU learn English. You want to drive? YOU learn English. You want to function seamlessly with other diverse groups in America? YOU learn English.
