But one, er ONE, ahhhemm, ONE story come out about some stupid 18 year old going postal over a girlfriend voting for Kerry and you start sounding off as if "everybody does it"™

Sorry, but I'm not buying that crap. Sure, I expect there to be some right-wing nutcases out there, but there is no comparison in the volume of nutcases on the left.

If you can start cataloging even 25% of conservatives pulling the same crap as the lefties, I'll come back and do a mea culpa for all to read.

Okay the guy is definately crazy, but do you think maybe the fight with his girlfriend would have led him to threaten her, even if she had not made the comment about voting for Kerry. It just seems like a perfect opportunity for the media to take things out of context and make it seem like republicans are crazy. Whats is going to make a better stroy for the 12:00 news, "Man threatens to stab his girlfriend durring a fight" or "man trys to stab his girlfriend because she is voting for John Kerry" ?
