The Question

My friend KEY got me thinking with this post.

This question is for the married boy dogs.

How many of you asked your wife to marry you, as opposed to coming to a mutual conclusion that you should be married?

Me - I asked!!!!

...but I'm not stupid - I was 100 % sure of the answer.

If there is any doubt, any doubt at all, you are dumber than a box of rocks.

well, that's me... a box of rocks.... I asked, and she said no... two months later, I asked again, and she said no... three months later, she asked me to ask her again, and I said no... so, she asked ME... and I said yes.... complicated, but after 10 years, we're still going strong...

Cute story, Eric!

Mine's boring. He hinted. I told him to shut up. He hinted. I told him to shut up. I hinted. He asked. ...ten years for us as well.

Now this is interesting - I've also been married for ten years.

The Husband didn't ask -- he informed me that it was time for me to move in and that he simply refused to live with anybody ever again without actually marrying them, so I had better be prepared.

"What if I had said "no"?" I asked later.

"You wouldn't have," he smirked, and went back to his book.

Seven and a half years later, I have to admit he was right . . .

"You wouldn't have" - now that's confidence...
