Latino groups in North Carolina are challenging attempts by the state to make it hard for illegal aliens to get a driver's license.

Lawsuits by the Durham-based Latino Community Credit Union and Latino Community Development Center ask a judge to block ID restrictions from taking effect next week, the Associated Press reported.

The state should not make it hard for illegal aliens to get a driver's license, they should make it impossible.

Side note: When I moved to North Carolina, I was required to take both the written and visual examination to obtain my driver's license. After doing so, the examiner said to me - "Do you see that kid (alien of undetermined status) over there? He was in here yesterday, and I failed him. Do you think he learned to drive overnight?"
