Do We Have Him ?

These people think so. I think it's a good story.

24 January 2004: On 22 January 2004, we first reported a story that the major press discounted as quickly as US officials denied the "rumor" that Osama bin Laden was in US custody. In the face of denials by the US, and "presuming" that such a large story could never be kept quiet, why would we even suggest that this "rumor" could be true?

They invite you to review some of the evidence that they collected here.

I've thought we had him for quite some time, based on the timing and content of the videos that pop up every so often.

Also, there would be strategic benefits to keeping him under wraps. As long as his people believe he is loose, the basic structure of al Queda remains essentially unchanged. Once they know we have him, they can remove him from the equation and make substantial changes we may -- or may not -- be able to keep up with.

I do not believe the intelligence services owe us full disclosure in ongoing operations. Holding bin Laden out of sight would provide a valuable, exploitable advantage, and in no way could be construed as a conspiracy or cover-up. In war, you take every opportunity. Period.

I agree with everything you've said, but there is a chance he is vaporized or buried beneath a bunch of Earth. I guess we need a body...

But you're right, in War, you do what you have to do!!! Whatever that might be.
