Here's the Deal
My damn heat is still out! Damn!
Sunday night, the ceiling in one of my remote locations collapsed over a couple of servers of mine. They were under a "shower" of water for about seven hours, so they are fried. I'm talking burnt weenie sandwich. Damn!
I've been loading operating systems, SQL databases (and populating them), and applications since Monday morning. And that ain't been going as planned either. Damn!
Monday am., we did physical inventories. Damn!
I've got to do some emergency plane tripping over the next week or so. Damn!
My heat should be restored tomorrow, otherwise my cute ass wife will freeze her cute ass off. Damn!
I guess it could be worse.

...It can always be worse, but that doesn't mean that we can't bitch and moan when life decides that it's going to be a butthole for a while.
At least you and your lovely wife are alive and well, and, uh, at least you have a LOVELY wife.
Wouldn't it suck to have a nag on your ass at a time like this?
Can the hard drives be dried out and the data saved, or did they just completely short out and fry?
Completly Fried, but I didn't lose any data. Good Backups.
Good disaster plan, then. Something was right! The bitch would have been no backups!
Just think about those extra free miles on your airline package. You can start planning your next vacation!
As long as you've got the backups . . . turns an absolute nightmare into a pain and irritation.
